Pink Tutu Rome: #1076 - Channelling my inner Roman goddess!
Ciao bellas! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another dose of Pink Tutu Rome! This week has been utterly magical, filled with cobbled streets, ancient ruins, and gelato galore. My life as a ballet-loving, pink-obsessed travel blogger never ceases to amaze me. Honestly, what's not to love?
This week, my Roman adventure began on a gorgeous sunny morning, just the kind of weather to inspire some seriously fabulous outfits. And of course, I had a new tutu planned! Today was the perfect day for my bold, cherry-red tulle creation. You know I just had to add a pop of colour to my elegant white top and denim jacket. After all, a touch of pink tutu magic is just what any outfit needs, right?
Speaking of magic, we began our day with a spectacular trip to the Colosseum! I've dreamed of seeing it for years, and it really is something else. You just stand there, amidst the dust and the history, imagining all the gladiators and emperors that once roamed these very grounds. Totally spellbinding.
And as you can imagine, a trip to the Colosseum wouldn't be complete without a pink tutu photo shoot. We found a gorgeous spot by the arches, bathed in sunshine, and let the tutus flow. Of course, the crowds gathered quickly, their faces a mixture of amusement and awe - they'd never seen a tutu like mine before!* This is what I live for - spreading the pink tutu love across the globe.
But Rome is more than just history, you know. It's also about the food, the culture, and the endless opportunities to indulge my love for fashion. This evening we are treated to a divine Italian dinner at a family-run trattoria, their secret family recipes a testament to generations of love and culinary talent. And trust me, it's delicious. The tiramisu is especially heavenly, although my love for this iconic dessert probably shouldn't be revealed!
We spent the afternoon wandering through the cobbled backstreets, taking in the bustling markets and the charming boutiques, picking up little trinkets and handmade crafts. Did you know, I even found the most beautiful pink handbag? Of course, I had to bring it home. Rome is truly a treasure trove of stylish inspiration!
As the sun sets on the Roman skyline, we sit back in our hotel room, listening to the sounds of the city outside our window. It’s these moments, surrounded by the warmth and energy of this remarkable place, that make me realize how truly blessed I am.
Speaking of blessings, I wanted to share with you my current travel project: I am performing at a beautiful theatre here in Rome on the 24th of January. It's a private show for a special group, and I'll be bringing all my pink tutu flair to the stage, showcasing a new tutu inspired by the iconic Roman Goddess of Love, Venus. Can't wait! It's just what my creative spirit needed after a long year of travelling and dancing!
For all of you planning your own trip to Rome, remember that a good train journey makes the experience all the more magical and scenic. This trip, I'm using Eurostar – such a comfortable and stylish way to travel. They have some fabulous options for families, making travelling with little ones a breeze! And speaking of families, Rome is such a wonderful place to visit with little ones - the cobbled streets, the historical sites, the endless gelato stands, what's not to love?
