#PinkTutuRome: Romeā€™s Got the Magic Touch (Post 1110)

Ciao bella!

Itā€™s Wednesday, so you know what that meansā€¦ itā€™s time for another #PinkTutuRome adventure! This week Iā€™m bringing you a whirlwind tour of the Eternal City, and let me tell you, itā€™s a city that truly lives up to its name.

This time Iā€™ve traded in my usual train journey for a glorious flight straight to Romeā€™s Fiumicino Airport. With my pink suitcase in tow and my new ā€œI love Romeā€ tote bag (because obviously!), I was ready to dive headfirst into all the beauty, history, and fashion that this magnificent city had to offer.

And, I must admit, the energy hit me as soon as I stepped onto the plane! Itā€™s the same sort of exciting feeling I get before a big performance. And, honestly, being in Rome does feel like being part of a big, magnificent ballet!

Right off the bat, I wanted to embrace the quintessential Italian experience - so imagine me, rocking my pink tutu (naturally), wandering the cobblestone streets of Trastevere, a charming neighbourhood famous for its art, live music and beautiful Italian atmosphere.

Trastevere feels like stepping back in time. Every corner boasts hidden courtyards, stunningly painted walls, and artisan shops. It was like walking through a fairytale - just without the evil queen (well, apart from the pigeons who seemed determined to steal my gelato!).

As the sun began its golden descent, we popped into a charming little cafĆ© and enjoyed a light supper of local favourites - cheesy pasta, fresh bread, and, of course, a delightful Aperol Spritz. Oh, and it was definitely pink, just like my mood! You just canā€™t have a romantic evening without a splash of pink.

Speaking of romantic, the whole city seemed to transform under the moonlight. The city's iconic Trevi Fountain, bathed in the soft glow of lanterns, felt like a scene out of a dream! It was a picture postcard come to life, but even more magical because you could feel its heartbeat ā€“ the buzz of life and love! I just had to toss a coin into the water to make a wish, naturally wishing for the perfect outfit for our evening out.

The day ended with a show at Teatro dellā€™Opera di Roma. Now, you know I adore ballet. But let me tell you, Roman opera is an experience you simply have to have! The opulence, the costumes, the music... It was like the ultimate ballet! You couldnā€™t escape the romance. The opera house felt so alive!

And wouldnā€™t you know it, they had a stunning pink and silver curtain backdrop! Perfect!

Tomorrow weā€™re heading to the Colosseum. I hear they are even holding gladiator shows! Can you believe that? My inner warrior ballerina is already planning her epic battle cry (while simultaneously dreaming up a tutu fit for a gladiatorial goddess, of course!).

As I wrap up my day, I just want to remind you - you donā€™t need a ticket to the Colosseum to have an unforgettable experience. Rome, my dear readers, is a treasure chest filled with magic. Itā€™s just waiting to be explored by the bold and beautiful, in all their tutu-fied glory.

Stay tuned next week, because Rome is just getting started, and we're just starting to make it even more pink!

Stay Pink and sparkly, Emma x
