New Year's Day in Rome! Can you imagine a more magical setting? This city is simply breathtaking, and even with the chill in the air (those Italian winters are no joke!), the warmth of this historical beauty truly shines.
It's hard to believe I'm already back in Rome. It feels like only yesterday I was spinning and pirouette-ing through the cobbled streets, capturing the magic of the city through the lens of my camera. And this time, I'm not just here to sightsee; I'm on a mission! A pink tutu mission, to be precise.
I've got my heart set on experiencing the vibrant cultural scene Rome offers. You know me, it's all about ballet, performance, and fashion. From catching a captivating performance at the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma to browsing the luxurious fashion houses along Via Condotti, I'm prepared to be utterly captivated by this magnificent city.
A Tutu Tale: Getting to Rome
I'm such a train fanatic! It's so lovely to travel across Europe on the rails, gazing out at the ever-changing landscapes. For this trip, I embarked on a grand adventure aboard the Eurostar, departing from my beloved Derbyshire, England. As I sped through the countryside, a feeling of excitement surged within me - the anticipation of Roman delights was palpable!
You might be wondering how a pink-tutu wearing ballerina like me can afford to travel the world? Well, my friends, the answer is quite simple: my ballet performances! I get so much joy out of performing on stage, and luckily, it also allows me to pursue my dream of exploring the world. It's a dream come true to share my love of dance with others and then use the earnings to explore stunning places like this beautiful city!
The Roman Delight: A Glimpse of My Itinerary
The plan for today is a whirlwind of sights and sounds, and yes, it does involve a pink tutu! This New Year's Day will be dedicated to experiencing the grandeur of Roman architecture and taking in some of the incredible cultural events taking place today. First on the agenda is a trip to the majestic Pantheon. It's on my must-see list! That domed roof is just so dramatic! Can't wait to capture some magical pink-tutu pictures there!
