Why, hello there Wednesday! The day we all look forward to: the day I whisk you away to my favourite far-flung destinations! Today, it's all about the vibrant, majestic beauty of Rome. From the grandeur of the Colosseum, to the exquisite, gelato-laden piazzas, I'm absorbing every enchanting detail, every breathtaking masterpiece, and translating it into my unique pink tutu language. This city feels like a stage, its people the actors, its ancient buildings the dramatic sets. Itās a spectacle in itself!
Taking it by Train: Letās face it, travelling by train is pure magic. The gentle swaying, the landscapes blurring past, and the air filled with a quiet excitement about where Iāll be going ā it sets my creative spirit alight. Itās how I reached Rome, a journey of a lifetime in a comfortable, roomy carriage, sipping cappuccinos (in my trusty pink travel cup, naturally!), surrounded by the friendly, chattering Italians. Youād think I was some kind of princess!
From Derbyshire to the Dolce Vita: It's always been my dream to make it as a professional ballerina. And let's be honest, who wouldnāt dream of pirouetting on the cobblestones of the most beautiful city in the world?! Since I can't quite afford to live in the Italian capital, I make it a point to return every few months, combining performances with a much-needed dose of dolce vita! Last weekend, I spent my free time performing in an extraordinary production of āLa Traviata' in Derbyshire. What can I say, life as a pink tutu-wearing ballerina is nothing if not a whirlwind! On Wednesday night, itās hosting a spectacular production of Verdi's Aida, so if you find yourself in Rome, make sure you snatch up a ticket! Itās the perfect excuse for a stylish pink tutu (or maybe just a blush-coloured dress), some killer shoes, and an enchanting evening!
- The Borghese Gallery : Art, beautiful clothes, delicious food, what's a girl to do? Why, take them all in of course! This Wednesday, Iām venturing into the breathtaking Galleria Borghese. Known for its breathtaking collection of sculpture, the Borghese Gallery is also famous for Berniniās āApollo and Daphne,ā as well as its beautiful, well, everything. It's just what a girl needs after a long day exploring!
- Gelato Time: If youāre a girl who loves food as much as I do, then Gelato is your soulmate. A flavourful delight in every cone, a joy in every spoonful. And what better way to celebrate Wednesday than with a gelato in Piazza Navona?
- Shopping Adventures: Okay, confession time! Rome is a shopping heaven. Forget boring department stores; in Rome, fashion becomes an adventure, an exploration, a way of life. I'll be spending hours browsing the fabulous Via Condotti, checking out the vintage stores in Trastevere and finding that one perfect souvenir to take home!
