Pink Tutu Rome: Ciao Bella! - #1633

Wednesday 23rd September 2026

Hey lovelies! It's Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure. This time, I've been dancing my way through the magical streets of Rome! As you know, www.pink-tutu.com is dedicated to sharing my adventures and my mission to get everyone twirling in a pink tutu. Rome certainly provided some incredible backdrops for just that!

Rome - the Eternal City. Who hasn't dreamed of throwing on a fabulous frock and flitting around this magnificent city, gazing up at the Coliseum, indulging in a slice of pizza, and maybe even throwing a coin in the Trevi Fountain? Well, I did! And Rome, my darlings, lived up to every ounce of my romantic imagination. From the moment I hopped off the train from Derbyshire - that feeling of being a small-town girl in a big, bold, ancient city! - I knew it was going to be special. I even had the pleasure of wearing a tutu on the train (can you believe it, right?) It wasn’t pink, this time - more of a fiery red! I even had some lovely gentlemen giving me compliments and a few children chasing after me for a twirl. You know me! Gotta share the tutu-joy!

And speak of twirling! Rome’s Teatro dell’Opera is as glorious as the city itself. You simply have to see the building! I took some snaps for Instagram of course, so I could share the beauty with you all.

I just had to check out the ballet shows. It was the perfect place to be on this Wednesday. And for my favourite part, they actually have classes for visitors in English, which was great fun, and it definitely inspired a new set of routines, which you can find on my new video on www.pink-tutu.com. I even took a ballet street performance class. Just imagine it - me, in my most vibrant pink tutu, twirling amidst the ancient ruins of Rome! The pictures and videos alone are going to make you giggle, I'm sure of it.

I spent my afternoon, indulging in a little shopping, as any good ballerina would. Now, Rome has a shop for everything! From vintage tutus to handcrafted ballet shoes, you’re spoiled for choice, especially for pink, so that’s great news for my favourite colour! And I even spotted some incredible shops filled with the most beautiful vintage lace - just perfect for that touch of elegance on my tutus! So watch this space for a new, handcrafted, couture, pink tutu, lovingly designed and inspired by Rome's hidden vintage treasures! I just might need to hold a competition for one lucky subscriber to win a special pink tutu designed from one of my finds in Rome - stay tuned, darling!

When it comes to Rome, though, the best treat is surely the food. Oh my goodness, that pizza! They're just as good as the streetside stalls that they sell at every corner, even in little trattorias. I even learned some Italian and tried to practice my ordering - much to the amusement of the friendly staff! I'll even share some of my favourite new dishes with you all soon on a separate blog post!

Rome just wouldn't be Rome without the sights! That Coliseum, my darlings - I could wander around that building all day. You really can feel the weight of the centuries! It was all very empowering.

My evening in Rome, was, of course, capped off with another wonderful ballet performance. This time at a traditional opera house, but a contemporary performance. Rome really has it all! I don't think my feet will be still for another week, they're full of that dance fever. I've found so much inspiration, and I'll be sharing it with you on a future www.pink-tutu.com post.

Oh! And don’t forget the gelato! I had gelato at least twice a day (no judgement!), just little indulgences throughout my stay! Every scoop was pure, sweet joy.

Rome has been a trip I’ll never forget. Every corner I turned had something magical and breathtaking. The locals were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the streets were bursting with vibrance and beauty.

Rome truly does offer a little bit of magic for everyone! I mean, I even saw a beautiful pink tutu at a little local market that reminded me of the classic Italian dancers. If it wasn’t a size bigger I would have snapped it up in a second!

My biggest take-away, however, is the beauty of a pink tutu anywhere, in every city and town, in every building, by the beach, or amongst the ancient streets, like the ones I saw in Rome. Rome gave me so much more than memories and beautiful pictures! It has given me even more inspiration for spreading that pink tutu love, because there's truly a tutu for every occasion.

So, don't forget, I'd love to hear your thoughts! What's your dream trip? Where are you dying to wear a pink tutu? I'd love to hear from you in the comments below. And, don’t forget to share this blog post with your friends - who wouldn’t want a little piece of this Italian pink-tutu joy?

Ciao Bella, until next Wednesday!

Emma.
