Ciao bella!

As you know, my Wednesday posts are dedicated to my adventures across the globe, all thanks to the wonderful ballet gigs I manage to snag! This week finds me in the Eternal City, the city of love, the city of history, the city of… tu-tu-tu… PIZZA!

Yes, my dears, I’m in Rome! ? It’s everything I imagined – cobbled streets buzzing with the aroma of fresh pasta, fountains cascading with history, and an air of romance that would melt even the iciest of hearts. Honestly, if I had a penny for every time I saw a couple stealing a kiss beneath the Trevi Fountain, I'd be a very wealthy woman! ?

And I am in a particularly good mood today. ? This past weekend, I danced my heart out at the prestigious "Sagra del Teatro" in Naples! I waltzed my way through "The Nutcracker," adorned in a sparkling blush pink tutu with a cloud of ivory tulle, and let me tell you, the applause was simply divine. ? The whole experience left me with a twinkle in my eye, and a pep in my step… so ready to explore the city!

Speaking of sparkle, I had to do a serious shopping spree! Via Condotti did not disappoint. Oh, the shoes! Oh, the bags! It was like stepping into a fairy tale – silk and sequins as far as the eye could see! I picked up a divine scarlet satchel that I'm sure will be my new go-to – perfect for storing all my ballet necessities and, of course, the occasional gelato scoop. ?

After a delectable lunch at Antica Pizzeria da Michele, famous for its Margherita, (they don't even have a menu! ?) I finally took a peek at the breathtaking Colosseum! It felt surreal – walking through the passageways that echoed with the voices of gladiators, emperors, and maybe even a few naughty Romans having a secret rendezvous! ?

I'll be honest, it was a lot to take in… even with my fabulous fuchsia sunglasses! ✨ It's like stepping into a history book! And those gladiators – oh my goodness, they had the best buns. ? I'm thinking a Roman inspired ballet routine is on the cards – lots of swirling tutus and dramatic hand gestures… perhaps with a few gladiatorial-inspired jumps. ?

The evening found me gazing upon the shimmering Tiber River as the sun set. Swoon! The city lights reflecting off the water created a truly magical ambience. I even managed to get my tutu into the most fabulous photo op – me, on the steps of the Trevi Fountain, with the sunset painting the sky in soft pastel hues. (Stay tuned for a sneak peek on my Instagram!) ?

Oh, I simply adore Rome. I can see why everyone falls in love with it! It's got something for everyone: the romance, the food, the fashion, the art, the history… and the gelato.? I wouldn’t mind having my own Roman ballet troupe, think pink tutus paired with marble busts, ancient statues, and maybe even a few divine gladiator costumes. ?

Before I go, you absolutely must see the Vatican Museum! The intricate artwork and sheer grandeur are absolutely mind-blowing! Be sure to dress accordingly, my dears – no ripped jeans or oh my gosh that’s definitely not a ballet bun! But fear not! I spotted an absolutely divine hat shop near the Trevi Fountain with perfect pink fedora. A perfect touch for the Roman ballerina in you. ?

Stay tuned, my darling readers! I'll be back next Wednesday with even more fun-filled stories from my Italian escapade! Don't forget to check out my photos on www.pink-tutu.com – you won’t want to miss the photo shoot in front of the Pantheon! It's… well, you'll just have to see it to believe it. ?

*P.S. Did I tell you how many adorable tutus I've spotted? Rome seems to love a little bit of pink tutu flair! ? I swear, one day I'm going to convince the entire world to join my #PinkTutuRevolution! *

P.P.S Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and Facebook for even more photos, and feel free to drop me a comment with your questions, suggestions, or even just a ciao! Ciao bella! ?✨
