Pink Tutu Rome: Ciao Bella! - Post 1801

Wednesday 12th December 2029

"Roma! Roma!" The words ring in my ears as the train pulls into Termini station. My heart is fluttering with excitement, as usual, but even more so this time, because Rome! The city of emperors and gladiators, fountains and pasta, history and haute couture. My dream of visiting this fabulous place has finally come true, and let me tell you, the train journey was divine.

After another successful ballet performance in Vienna (which I'm pretty sure even the orchestra were twirling their conductor's batons with after my grand finale!), I finally had the chance to escape to the Italian capital. My dear old suitcase, packed to the brim with pink tutus and sequined gowns, was practically bouncing with anticipation.

It's officially Pink Tutu Rome week! And you know what that means… pink everything! This pink tutu is going to be making a splash, and Rome better be ready! I’ve already got a line-up of the most incredible ballet performances, street-dancing spectacles, and even a couture fashion show at Valentino's atelier – it’s fashion heaven.

But first things first… coffee. This little ballerina needs a caffeine fix, pronto! So I’m going to indulge in a classic Italian cappuccino and get my morning fuelled with that magical energy that only Rome can give.

Speaking of fuelled, my lovely Italian pensione is just a skip and a hop from the Colosseum. Imagine – a breakfast of croissants and cappuccino followed by a morning stroll to one of the most awe-inspiring pieces of architecture in the world! It's just perfect.

Of course, a trip to Rome isn't complete without indulging in some of that delicious, mouth-watering Italian food! I'm talking carbonara that melts in your mouth, the best pizzas under the sun, and the creamiest gelato that even your best friend won't want to share. Just the thought is sending my tummy into a happy dance!

Speaking of dances, tonight is a very special evening: I have a date with Teatro dell'Opera di Roma! This ballet show is one I've been dreaming of seeing ever since I started taking ballet lessons as a little girl in Derbyshire. Can you believe it? Little Emma, now standing on stage at Rome’s Opera House! I must remember to grab my "best" pink tutu - the one with the silver glitter, because the Roman opera deserves nothing less!

Tomorrow is all about the Trevi Fountain. I can’t wait to get my little fingers into those crisp coins to wish for a magical, tutu-filled life and throw those wishes into that enchanting pool. Maybe even make a wish for my wish, just to be sure.

There is just so much to see and do in Rome! It’s like a fairytale in real life. The bustling streets are alive with energy and history. Even the cobblestone paths under my pink tutu shoes feel magical, the gentle hum of the city's soul a constant soundtrack to my adventure.

But let's talk fashion! I must confess, I'm pretty excited about hitting Rome’s famous fashion streets and exploring the boutiques of Via Condotti. My vision is for every boutique window to have a pink tutu strategically placed - imagine the spectacle!

After a day of shopping for everything from the perfect Roman scarves and earrings to, yes, more pink tutus (because how can one have too many?), I will be treating myself to a spot of sightseeing, perhaps at the Pantheon or the Spanish Steps.

This is a Rome for which my whole heart, and certainly every part of my wardrobe, is prepared.

Come along with me, darlings! Let’s explore this fabulous city together. Subscribe to my website at www.pink-tutu.com and see for yourselves what magical moments await us. Stay tuned for more pink-tastic adventures from the streets of Rome! Ciao for now!
