#TutuBlog Post #177
Hello darlings! It's your girl Emma, coming to you live from the quaint town of Ilkeston, nestled amongst the rolling hills of Derbyshire (my home county!). ?
It's been a whirlwind week, as usual! I've been swirling, twirling, and leaping across the UK like a little pink ballet fairy, spreading the joy of dance wherever I go! ?
This week's adventure began with a train journey to London. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a train ride? The gentle rhythmic clinking of the wheels on the tracks, the delicious aroma of freshly brewed tea, and the breathtaking scenery whizzing past...it's pure magic! ?
In London, I had the absolute pleasure of seeing a stunning performance of "Swan Lake" at the Royal Opera House. The dancers were incredible! Their elegance, their precision, and their sheer emotion blew me away. ? And those tutus! Pure perfection! I think I'm officially addicted to tulle. ?
But hold on, darlings! There's more! Before returning to Derbyshire, I made a detour to a magnificent wildlife park, where I encountered some truly awe-inspiring creatures! ? Giraffes, majestic lions, playful monkeys... I could have spent all day watching them, lost in their natural beauty.
And yes, of course, I had my pink tutu on for the whole thing! It wouldn't be a TutuBlog adventure without it, would it? ?✨
Back in Ilkeston, I had the most delightful encounter with a little girl who was watching me walk by with my tutu. She couldn't help but giggle at the sight, her face beaming with delight. ? She was captivated, mesmerized. In that moment, I realised the power of a pink tutu – it inspires joy, it brings a smile to everyone's face, and it reminds us all of the simple pleasures in life. ?
I encouraged her to try ballet, and she seemed so excited! That's the kind of reaction I live for. It's a little moment that makes all the travel and the performances worthwhile. Because at the end of the day, it's not about me or the tutus – it's about spreading the magic of dance and making the world a happier, more whimsical place. ✨
I truly believe that everyone can dance. It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned pro or just starting out – dancing is for everyone, it's for every age, it's for every body! ??
And who knows, maybe one day, even the most stoic, conservative types will be rocking a pink tutu, leaping and swirling their hearts out! ?
That's my dream, darlings! A world where every heart is touched by the grace, beauty, and sheer joy of dance. A world of pink tutus, twinkling shoes, and joyful twirls. ? It's not just a dream; it's a revolution!
Now, I'm off to join a ballet class here in Ilkeston! I can't wait to share the love of dance with the lovely locals! ?
Remember, my dears, dance like no one's watching. Twirl your worries away. And never underestimate the power of a pink tutu! ?
Stay twirling,
Emma xoxo

Ilkeston Adventures, in more detail...Okay, I know you're dying for more details! Here are some of my favourite bits from my recent adventures:
London Theatre:
- The performance was absolutely breath-taking. The ballerina who danced Odette and Odile was simply divine, transforming between the roles with ease and captivating every single audience member. ?✨
- After the show, I managed to snag a quick chat with a ballet dancer from the Royal Ballet! He told me all about his passion for dance, his favourite roles, and even shared some behind-the-scenes stories. So much fun! ??
- And of course, I got a gorgeous photo with the iconic Royal Opera House building as my backdrop. My pink tutu practically glowed under the evening lights. ??
Wildlife Park Wonders:
- You have never seen such magnificent creatures in real life! The giraffes were simply majestic, towering over me with their gentle grace. ?✨
- I even managed to capture some adorable pictures of playful monkeys frolicking in the trees! They looked just like miniature little ballerinas leaping from branch to branch! ??
- My highlight? Definitely getting a closer-than-close encounter with a lion. The powerful roar resonated through the whole park and gave me goosebumps. ??
Ilkeston Inspirations:
- I was surprised to find a really vibrant community of dance lovers in Ilkeston! They even have a weekly "ballet walk" where people wear their best dancing gear and stroll around the town center! ??♀️
- Meeting the little girl at the park made me realise that it doesn't take much to bring joy to someone's day. All it takes is a sprinkle of tutu magic and a little bit of dance inspiration. ✨
**Here's to embracing your inner ballerina, wherever you are, darlings! ✨?
Happy Twirling!**
Emma
