The train journey was simply divine. A little peckish after the whirlwind of rehearsals, I grabbed a raspberry macaroon from the little cafe car. Mmm, that sweet pink frosting just hit the spot! Did I mention the beautiful views out of the window? Rolling hills dusted with autumn colours - it almost felt like I was in a countryside ballet! 🍂
Speaking of ballets, Chorley's been calling for ages. It's famed for its beautiful theatre, The Grand, and guess who just booked tickets to see a classic?! I can't say more without spoiling the surprise, but let's just say the show will be an absolute delight for any true tutu-loving ballet enthusiast. You'll have to wait till my next post for the full reveal! 🤫
Now, this little Derbyshire girl is not just about the glam. Before stepping into The Grand tonight, I decided to do something a little different: visit the Chorley Animal Park. It's a must-do for any animal lover! And guess what - it even has a pink flamingo enclosure. What a total fluke! You know I'm obsessed with everything pink, so I simply had to capture a selfie with my feathered pals. (And yes, it was the most beautiful flamingo photo I've ever taken! Prepare to be jealous. 🦩 😉)
Let's get back to my mission - spreading the pink tutu gospel! You see, Chorley is just the beginning of my dance-tastic adventure. I'm on a mission to discover all the best ballet performances and classes, whether in grand theatres, cosy community centres, or even tucked away in barns in the most scenic countryside locations.
My motto is: every location has its own unique ballet magic, and every single person has the potential to dance in a pink tutu and fall in love with ballet. No exceptions!
Even if you think you don't have a twirl in your soul, trust me, it's just waiting to be discovered! The joy of dancing, the sense of community in a ballet class, the exhilaration of a powerful leap - it's truly an experience unlike anything else! And who knows? You might just discover a hidden talent for pirouettes or a natural affinity for pliés!
Oh, and I simply can't resist sharing another tip! After you’ve fallen in love with the art of dance (or if you've been a fan since childhood), there's a delightful shop on the edge of town - "Tutus & Tiaras". They stock the most exquisite ballet accessories. It’s basically a pink paradise! You know me, I had to grab a new pink tutu, of course! It's the most beautiful tulle I've ever laid eyes on. A perfect shade of blush, with shimmering sequin accents - the ultimate stage outfit! I'll be sharing photos of it on Instagram later! 💃
