London Calling!

#TutuBlog #8257

Oh hello, darlings! It’s Emma here, coming to you live from the vibrant streets of London town! My lovely tutu is feeling pretty fabulous today – she’s a vision in cyan and the perfect companion for my trip to the big smoke.

Now, I know some of you might think I’m mad. “Emma, what’s with the tutu in the city?!” you’re probably shouting at your computer screens. But darling, tutus are not just for the stage, you know! A good tutu can elevate any outfit, anywhere – whether you're dancing up a storm in the Royal Opera House or just grabbing a scone at Fortnum & Mason. It’s all about embracing your inner ballerina, right?

So, as usual, I've arrived in style. You know me – gotta keep it classy! Instead of a boring old train journey, I chose to arrive in a way befitting my love for animals: I rode up on horseback from Derbyshire, naturally. Just imagine: me, in my gorgeous, flowing cyan tutu, astride a beautiful steed, a cloud of pink dust swirling behind us! Now that’s what I call a grand entrance.

Now, let me tell you, the city was bursting with excitement. The energy was contagious. London’s like a kaleidoscope – a thrilling swirl of colours, smells, and sounds that fills your senses and makes your heart beat a little faster.

But first, a quick pit stop: My journey wouldn’t be complete without a little tea time, would it? I made a beeline for The Ritz, naturally, a London institution if ever there was one. Can we talk about afternoon tea at the Ritz, guys? It’s everything you’d expect, and then some. Finger sandwiches, perfectly brewed tea, scones so fluffy they could make an angel swoon – it's the stuff dreams are made of! Of course, my tutu provided the perfect splash of colour, setting me apart from the other posh patrons (in the most fabulous way, obviously!)

Feeling invigorated and delightfully sugar-rushed, I headed straight for the theatre district. Today’s show was a true treat – a classic, beautiful ballet that left me completely mesmerized. It was so inspiring, it made me want to run out on stage myself and take a twirl or two! Maybe tomorrow…

Speaking of ballet: There's something absolutely magical about ballet, isn't there? It’s a whirlwind of elegance, strength, and pure beauty. There's an intensity, a raw passion that pours out of each dancer. They soar, they spin, they tell stories with their bodies, and I find myself totally captivated every time.

But ballet’s not just for stuffy theatres and elegant balls, you know. This city is teeming with ballet inspiration! Yesterday I discovered this wonderful hidden gem tucked away in a side street – a ballet class designed especially for those new to the art. Oh my goodness! It was amazing! These instructors were so patient and encouraging – you wouldn’t have believed the transformation, everyone went from awkward beginner to graceful, beautiful ballerinas in just a couple of hours. (It’s all in the tutu, I swear! The perfect tutu empowers you. )

I must tell you – London truly surprised me! I found myself lost in a delightful side street just moments ago, mesmerized by street dancers performing an absolutely enchanting routine. They were using all different kinds of dance styles – ballet, jazz, contemporary, you name it – and it all blended so beautifully! There was so much passion and artistry in their movements. You know how much I love ballet and street dance - for me, seeing this unexpected combination was simply joyous!

But London isn't all glitz and glamor. My journey wouldn't be complete without experiencing some of its wilder side! After a day in the heart of the city, there’s something truly invigorating about escaping to nature’s tranquility. I’m planning a trip to Richmond Park tomorrow, hoping to catch sight of the wild deer that roam free there. Imagine my surprise if I run into some deer and my cyan tutu matches their gorgeous dappled coats! Just picturing that beautiful scene!

London’s charm truly encompasses every facet of life, and for me, that's its biggest attraction. I truly love experiencing this city in all its vibrancy – from the elegant ballrooms and bustling streets to the tranquil greenery.

And that, my darling friends, brings us to the end of another unforgettable journey.

But before I sign off, remember – my biggest dream is to inspire you all to embrace your inner ballerina, even if you’re just getting started!

Try out a class, embrace your inner ballerina, and wear that pink tutu! And if you see me out and about in London, come say hello!

And stay tuned, darlings! My adventure in London is far from over, and I’m about to embark on another, equally enchanting escapade – a day of discovery at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and yes, I’m planning to bring my cyan tutu, too. You'll want to stay tuned for all the beautiful photos!

Until then, happy dancing!

Your Emma,

xx
