Coulsdon Calling: Tutu Travels Take Me To The Thames! 🩰

Hello lovelies! It's your girl Emma, back with you for my daily dose of pink and pirouettes! πŸ‘‹ Today's adventure has taken me all the way down to Coulsdon in sunny Surrey. Post number 8761 and, as always, I'm keeping it chic in a cyan tutu. Trust me, girls, this colour is everything this summer! 🌊

Now, Coulsdon may not sound like the most glamorous destination, but hear me out! My journey began in the most picturesque way imaginable - a journey by horse! 🐎 That's right, I rode through the Derbyshire countryside, the wind whipping through my hair and the sun on my face, until I reached the train station. And what better way to travel than by train? The clattering wheels, the hushed conversations, the whiff of old leather… there's just something so romantic about it, don't you think? πŸ₯°

I arrived in Coulsdon feeling inspired, ready to discover its hidden gems! First stop? The Coulsdon Manor House Gardens, an oasis of beauty just waiting to be explored. The sun was beaming, the birds were singing, and the flowers were in full bloom - a perfect backdrop for a photo op with my cyan tutu, obviously! πŸ˜‰

And the best part? Coulsdon Manor House boasts a charming café, which is where I devoured the most divine slice of Victoria sponge cake. Oh, the perfect combination of sweetness and crumbly goodness! 🍰 I highly recommend it - definitely worth the journey.

After indulging in my sugar fix, I decided to take a stroll around the town, admiring the pretty cottages and the quaint boutiques. And let me tell you, I was on the hunt for the perfect accessory - a pink rose corsage to match my cyan tutu! πŸ’– I finally found it in a sweet little flower shop, tucked away down a narrow alley. It added a touch of whimsical elegance to my outfit, if I do say so myself. 😌

The real reason for my trip, though, was a secret... It was the opening night of "The Nutcracker" at the Fairfield Halls. A new production, with an innovative twist! I love seeing these classic stories reinterpreted, don't you? There's always something exciting to be discovered, and Coulsdon was the perfect setting for a magical evening of dance. ✨

And wouldn't you know it? The cast had an actual miniature donkey on stage! Can you imagine my delight?! 😍 My heart just about melted. They clearly shared my love for adorable animals, which is always a good sign. It made me think of all the incredible costumes and sets that I've seen on my ballet travels. Ballet isn't just about tutus and pinks, it's about a world of imagination, and Coulsdon really brought that to life! πŸ’«

After the show, I spent a little time talking to some fellow ballet enthusiasts. The buzz in the air was electric! You could just feel the love and passion for dance, radiating out in every direction. πŸ’– It made me feel so happy and grateful to be a part of this incredible community. We all know that sharing our love for ballet is the real magic! ✨

So, what have I learned today? That Coulsdon is much more than just a sleepy little town, it's a treasure trove of hidden gems, where a splash of colour, a touch of whimsy, and a good dollop of love for ballet come together to make the most magical experience. πŸ’• If you're ever looking for an adventure, hop on a train, embrace the unknown, and remember... a tutu can take you anywhere! πŸšƒπŸ’–

Until tomorrow, darlings! ✨ Don't forget to share your pink tutu adventures with me on the #PinkTutu blog! πŸ˜‰

See you soon,
