Stevenage, A Little Bit of Tutu Magic 💖🩰

Post Number: 9868

Hey my lovely tutu-loving friends! It’s Emma here, ready to whisk you away on another fabulous journey to a new corner of the world! 🌎 Today, we’re headed to Stevenage – a vibrant town nestled in Hertfordshire, and as always, I’m rocking my favourite accessory: a vibrant orange tutu! 🍊✨

I know what you’re thinking, “Orange?! You’re supposed to be a pink tutu queen!” Well, let’s just say, today, I was feeling a little bit adventurous, and orange is such a fantastic colour! It reminds me of the sunsets over Derbyshire, the rolling hills bathed in fiery hues. 😉 Plus, it's the perfect pop of colour for this slightly less glamorous but still exciting stop.

You see, Stevenage has become a favourite destination for me. Not for the usual touristy reasons, though – don’t get me wrong, I’m not hating on a good ol’ castle or historical site! However, what I really love about Stevenage is the buzzing atmosphere. There’s something vibrant about it, an energy that’s electrifying. Plus, it’s easily accessible by train – I can’t deny a bit of chuffing down the line with my favourite travel book and a cuppa. ☕️🚂

A Ballet Revelation

As usual, ballet was on my agenda. A few weeks back, I saw a stunning production of Swan Lake at the Gordon Craig Theatre in Stevenage. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! The stage was a swirling spectacle of passion and heartbreak. I found myself enthralled by the beautiful dance and draped in emotion – honestly, my eyes were even a little teary. 🤧 The talented dancers were like poetry in motion – and it got me dreaming about trying my hand at ballet again. You see, the older I get, the more I feel like we are never too old to discover new passions. You know what they say, a dancer never gets tired, their feet simply rest. 😄

Speaking of dancing, you wouldn't believe what happened next. As I was walking back to the station, a young girl was dancing right on the cobbled pavement. It looked like she had been taking inspiration from the show! Her little pink ballet shoes were kicking up a storm and I just knew that she was going to become a fantastic ballerina someday. It made me smile. I'm on a mission, remember, to get everyone dancing. 🩰💖

Horses, Ballet, and Birds

So, after a brilliant evening of cultural immersion, it was time for something a little different! You know how much I love animals, and I’ve recently discovered the joys of horse riding! I had been longing to learn, and Stevenage has this fantastic place called ‘The New Stable’. You know me, always looking for a new adventure!

Now, I’m no expert rider just yet – I have a tendency to get distracted by the countryside views and end up chatting with the horses, but it’s something I truly adore. My teacher was amazing. She helped me overcome my nerves and showed me how to create a bond with these wonderful creatures.

From horses to a bird's-eye view, we also spent some time observing the beautiful birdlife at the wildlife sanctuary – the “Stevenage Nature Reserve”. Watching the buzzing ecosystems there always gets me feeling so grounded – connected to the natural world and feeling thankful for the simple wonders. It’s all about keeping those tutu vibes in check, even when nature's at play!

Finding Magic in Every Corner

Stevenage was a great getaway. As always, the journey is always as important as the destination, and the memories are all a part of my “tutu story”, my colourful and beautiful life! I can’t wait to discover my next exciting adventure! If you have a place that's near or far that's been calling out to you – even if it doesn't seem like an obvious choice - go for it! You never know what treasures you might discover.

For now, I'll be back in the studio, twirling my tutu and dreaming of dancing! But until next time, remember to stay pink, stay positive, and above all, keep dancing!

Love,

Emma xx
