Walsall Calling! 🩰✨ Pink Tutu Sparkles Is Back in Business (Blog Post #351)

Hello darlings, it's your favourite pink tutu-wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles! 👋💖 I'm back with a fresh blog post straight from the glitter-tastic world of… Walsall! That's right, my lovelies, this travelling queen found herself amidst the heart of the Midlands, ready to spread some sparkle and joy.

Before I dive into the fabulous events that unfolded in Walsall, let's rewind a little. I’ve had a right good time touring the past couple of weeks, getting all glammed up for the folks of Derby, Leicester, and even Nottingham! But enough with the nostalgia; this post is all about Walsall and how I managed to bring my brand of tutu-licious joy to this charming town.

You see, the thing about me, my dear readers, is that I believe the world is a much brighter place when everyone's sporting a pink tutu! It’s like a universal symbol of fun, positivity, and maybe just a tiny bit of rebellious sparkle. ✨

So, you might be wondering: How exactly did I get to Walsall? Why, by train, of course! There's just something so whimsical about journeying through the English countryside, watching the scenery go by as I’m tucked into my little train compartment, ready to go on an adventure! And trust me, getting to Walsall was quite the adventure!

Imagine a train ride filled with chattering locals, gossiping aunties, and the rhythmic click-clack of wheels against the tracks. It was like being transported back to a scene straight out of a Jane Austen novel, only with more glitter! The train trip alone gave me inspiration for a few new routines.

Upon arrival in Walsall, I knew I needed to do something to truly honour the spirit of the town. Walsall’s history is rich in so many ways, particularly its links to the saddle trade and the legacy of Thomas Goode, a 19th-century saddler whose incredible collection was later gifted to the town! Well, I certainly couldn't leave my fabulous saddlebags at home!

I had a quick stop to grab a cup of tea and a piece of cake from a lovely little café called "The Tea Cosy" – yes, a very British name indeed! I must say, it was the perfect pick-me-up to start the day, full of cosy vibes. 💖

After fueling up with sugar and tea, I headed to the Walsall Arboretum. Oh, darling, it’s an absolutely beautiful park filled with so much greenery! They say it has over 80 species of trees, including some really fascinating conifers – now that’s a rare thing, you know, since I’m from the Peak District! 🌳🌲🌳 I felt truly surrounded by nature’s magnificence. And of course, I had my trusty camera in hand to capture the stunning scenery for my blog, and for Instagram. 😉

As I continued exploring, I stumbled upon an exciting sight - the New Art Gallery Walsall! I absolutely adore galleries; you see, a queen like me, living and breathing glitter and art is bound to have a thing for galleries. It’s where my artistic soul comes alive! The New Art Gallery was showcasing a unique exhibit – contemporary art inspired by dance. Imagine my delight! Not only could I admire the artwork but I could also feel my feet itching to take centre stage, as I usually do. Ballet is so beautiful, a timeless art form that continues to inspire me, you know. And as a lover of tutus, how could I miss out on this special opportunity?

Later, it was time to unleash my inner Pink Tutu Sparkles! My evening performance was booked at The Saddlers’ Social Club, the hub for Walsall FC supporters and, on this night, a stage for my fabulous, glittery performance. They have a reputation for supporting up-and-coming entertainers, which I found particularly fitting, as my own drag journey is just getting started!

Walking into The Saddlers' Social Club, you felt a wave of warmth, the aroma of good food and lively conversations. The energy was infectious, with people buzzing with anticipation for the night's entertainment! There I was, dressed to the nines in a magnificent pink tutu with a fabulous feather boa – pink, of course! – and sequins that glittered under the club's dim lighting. My entrance was met with applause, laughter, and a smattering of surprised exclamations!

My set was all about showcasing the beauty and joy of dance and drag. My signature moves were a mixture of ballet-inspired grace and fierce, energetic bursts. I added my own flair to it all – you can't forget that I’m also inspired by the energy of street dance, you see, it really brings an edge to my routines. Throughout the evening, I was met with a chorus of appreciative whistles, hoots, and thunderous applause. They even chanted “Pink Tutu Sparkles! Pink Tutu Sparkles!”

By the time I concluded my performance, I felt exhilarated, thrilled, and so grateful. You see, that's the amazing thing about drag – it brings people together, encourages them to laugh, and embraces individuality! It's not just about looking fabulous, darling – it's about expressing yourself and sharing your heart with the world!

As the evening faded and I retreated backstage, the people of Walsall’s faces lingered in my mind, brimming with joy and kindness. And that’s the magic of travelling for me! It's all about sharing my passion for performance and leaving a bit of sparkle wherever I go. 💖

Now, you might be thinking, "What does the future hold for Pink Tutu Sparkles?” I've already booked a performance in Wolverhampton this coming week and then I am taking a couple of weeks out of the busy travel and performing circuit, but the real exciting part is… a very special surprise coming up on October 1st… I can’t share all the details yet, but my blog post next week will contain some very big news.

And of course, I'll continue to keep you all updated with all the latest happenings on www.pink-tutu.com! So, until next time, my darlings, stay sparkly!

**Love,

Pink Tutu Sparkles ** ✨💖
