Folkestone is absolutely charming, a gorgeous mix of historic seaside vibes and bustling little shops. I hopped off the train – you just have to travel by train when you can, the views are divine – and immediately fell in love with the town's quaint streets. They just oozed vintage glamour, like a page right out of a fairy tale. 🎠
Speaking of fairy tales, you wouldn't believe the amazing ballet performance I saw here! The Royal Ballet was touring and I just had to experience their graceful storytelling with a tutu-loving companion. Ballet has always held a special place in my heart; I just love the sheer elegance and strength of it all. ✨ It’s where I got hooked on the power of a tutu to transform a performer. And that’s what inspires me in my own drag.
Of course, a trip to the seaside isn’t complete without a little retail therapy, am I right? 💕 Folkestone is a shopping haven! I found some absolute treasures – a pink-and-white floral handbag that would be perfect for my next performance, and a stunning silver feather boa with sequins that could rival the Milky Way! 💖 Oh, and a sparkly pink beret with a gigantic feather? Totally on point for my next ballet class. 🥰 I may or may not have treated myself to some matching pink nail polish, just for the extra fabulousness! 💅
Now, my lovelies, the whole trip wasn’t all glamour and tutus, of course. As a proper Derbyshire lass at heart, I had to delve into the local cuisine! I absolutely must recommend a fish and chips place called “The Jolly Fisherman.” They make the most delicious, crunchy fish and chips with the thickest chips imaginable – all perfectly coated in the fluffiest batter. 😍 And let me tell you, nothing tastes better than a hearty dose of fish and chips by the seaside!
Speaking of hearty, I couldn’t resist sharing my love for tutus with the locals! Imagine the pure joy and awe on everyone’s faces as I strutted down the Folkestone promenade in my newest pink tutu creation. 💖 It's true, I’m always happy to spread the love of pink tutus to the world, one shimmering twirl at a time! And let's face it, a little sparkle never hurt anyone! 💫
