Sutton in Ashfield: A Tutu-ful Trip! (Blog Post #403)

Hello darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to share another adventure with you from my fabulous travels! Today, I’m whisking you away to the lovely little town of Sutton in Ashfield, nestled right in the heart of Nottinghamshire.

As you know, my motto is: "Spread the Pink Tutu Love!", and this little town was positively begging for a dose of tutu magic! You see, I’ve been absolutely obsessed with the colour pink and all things tutus since I first shimmied into one during a university charity fundraiser. Now, I wouldn’t trade that magical experience for all the lab coats in the world. Yes, by day I’m a whizz at analyzing fabric in a science lab, but by night I transform into the sparkling wonder you see on this blog.

My journey to Sutton in Ashfield started with a grand plan involving both trains and horses. It's not every day a queen travels by horseback, you know! The sight of Pink Tutu Sparkles, all sequins and ruffles, atop a majestic steed was truly something to behold! But hey, when you’re travelling with the sole purpose of spreading tutu-tastic cheer, it’s best to embrace the unexpected!

This little trip was a whirlwind of glitter, glamour, and good vibes. Sutton in Ashfield was surprisingly receptive to my flamboyant message! I even met a local shopkeeper who told me that my arrival was "just what the town needed"! Imagine, a town crying out for a splash of pink and feathers!

So, what did I get up to?

Well, for starters, I treated myself to a rather lovely afternoon at the local theatre, where they had an excellent performance of "Giselle". Talk about a show stopper! Seeing those delicate ballerinas gracefully twirling in their fluffy tutus ignited a fierce fire of inspiration within me! You can bet your bottom dollar, I'm adding a Giselle-inspired number to my next performance!

But of course, no trip is complete without a bit of shopping, and Sutton in Ashfield certainly didn’t disappoint! I discovered a charming boutique filled with adorable vintage pieces, perfect for adding a touch of old Hollywood glamour to my ever-growing tutu collection.

Next, it was time for some proper fun! You can’t leave a town without spreading the Pink Tutu Sparkles magic, so I organized a little "Tutu Tea Party" in the town square. We sipped tea, nibbled on delightful finger sandwiches, and let our inner sparkles loose with a fabulous dance-off! My dear, it was utterly glorious!

One little girl, all of three years old, took me aside and said, “You look like a rainbow! And your shoes sparkle like magic!” She then declared, with all the conviction of a budding ballerina, "When I grow up, I'm going to be a tutu queen too!"

That right there, ladies and gentlemen, is why I do what I do. My heart swelled with joy that day. Spreading this love of pink, tutus, and happiness is the most fulfilling thing I can do.

Now, I know you might think "Tutus, that’s just silly!”, and I can hear you asking, “But Alex, isn't this just a little too much pink?" But my darlings, the world can be a bit gray at times, can’t it? We need some colour in our lives, a bit of whimsy and magic. That's what I aim to offer – a vibrant, shimmering dose of happy to make your day brighter, a little bit at a time!

And the good news is, it doesn't stop there! My next destination: none other than the glamorous metropolis of Blackpool! I can’t wait to show those lovely folk how to really embrace their inner Pink Tutu Sparkles.

But for now, my darlings, stay tuned for my next blog post filled with sparkly tales of Blackpool's delights! And until then, don’t be afraid to let your inner Pink Tutu Sparkles shine!

See you soon, darlings,

Love and Pink Tutu Kisses,
