Newbury - Post #426: A Pink Tutu Journey!

Hello darlings! It’s Pink Tutu Sparkles here, fresh from a whirlwind trip to Newbury, and trust me, my darling readers, a trip to Newbury in a pink tutu is an experience to be treasured! I have to admit, I love travelling by train - all the excitement, people-watching and chances for fabulous fashion moments!

I’d been saving this trip for ages. Newbury’s always been on my list – beautiful Georgian buildings, fantastic shopping (need I say more?), and of course, the stunning countryside surrounding it. I was simply delighted when the opportunity arose to perform there last month – a fab opportunity at the town’s annual fair!

Speaking of pink tutus, this is my absolute favourite shade for travel! Let's be honest, a pink tutu instantly sets me apart! Imagine, it's the perfect way to liven up even the most drab of journeys.

The journey was a joy, as always, packed full of fashion inspo! A quick peek into the windows revealed the best of London's finest fashion. From bold patterns, bold cuts, to exquisite fabrics. I could practically hear the tutus singing - such inspiring combinations!

The Newbury Fair itself was something else. Imagine stalls stacked high with delicious local produce, handcrafted trinkets and vintage fashion. My very own heartthrob, an oversized hot air balloon, gracefully floated above the town square – truly magic! I managed to bag a delightful collection of handcrafted fairy lights and some gorgeous fabric that reminded me of pink lemonade – I think I might turn that into my very own new tutu for my next performance.

But this trip wasn’t just about shopping and spectacle – it was a mission. I came here armed with a box full of pink tutus to spread my love of tulle across Newbury. My dear friends at the fair were delighted. There was an older lady in a beautiful green dress who loved my bright pink tutu so much that she even bought a matching scarf for herself. Now that's how you spread the joy!

Speaking of joy, the performance went down an absolute storm. The crowd was simply wonderful! I brought the house down with a rousing rendition of my favourite classic – a powerful combination of ‘Dancing Queen’ with ‘Single Ladies’ (you have to have a good mix of disco and fierce!) It’s the best thing in the world when people shout ‘more! More! More!’.

Oh, and did I mention I got a perfect photo opportunity in front of the town hall. Picture this: me, in my majestic pink tutu, surrounded by cobblestones, all against a background of honey-coloured buildings. You have to see the pics – I posted it to my Instagram of course, but be sure to check out my blog www.pink-tutu.com.

Let’s be honest, it was an exhausting trip - lots of twirling, fabulous food and even more exciting discoveries – but wouldn't have it any other way! As always, it’s about the little things in life – a dazzling tutu, sparkling smiles, and leaving behind a splash of joy everywhere I go.

Until next time darlings! Stay glamorous, stay radiant and never forget: life's much better in a pink tutu!

Love always, Pink Tutu Sparkles
