Morden, Darlings! It's Pink Tutu Sparkles, and This Tutu is Travel-Ready! (Blog Post #920)

Hello, darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and oh my, are you ready for an absolute sparkling update from my travels? Buckle up your glitter boots, grab a cuppa, and let's dive into this glamorous adventure!

It's been a while since I've had the chance to whisk you lovely lot away on a train journey, but my oh my, Morden has been calling my name, and you know I can't resist a good adventure! So, naturally, I had to pack my most extra pink tutu, grab my trusty sparkly handbag, and set off!

Now, before we get into the glamorous details, let's take a little stroll down memory lane. It all began back in my university days. I was a proper science nerd, studying the chemical composition of, well, everything, including fabrics, you see! It's where I found my first tutu! My university had a charity fundraiser, and naturally, I was one of the first to leap at the chance to wear a tutu for the cause. That moment, darlings, was magical. I knew, right then and there, that my life needed a splash of pink!

Fast forward to now, and well, I'm the Queen of Tutus. I spend my days crafting brilliant science, then by night, I shimmy and sparkle as Pink Tutu Sparkles. Life truly is a whirlwind! But who can complain when it's full of tutus and joy, am I right?

But back to Morden! It's a delightful little town with such a rich history! Imagine, darlings, a place where railway engineers and royalty crossed paths! Now, that's what I call a fabulous mix of culture and creativity!

My journey to Morden was, naturally, by train. Now, a good old-fashioned train journey gives me time to plan my outfit, read some fabulous novels, and sip on a cuppa. This time, I went for a classic look, a fluffy pink tutu, a sparkling silver crop top, and a dazzling feather boa that made the train conductor smile! You'll be delighted to hear that it passed with flying colours, no less!

Arriving in Morden was like stepping into a page of my favourite children's story! It felt as magical as stepping into a beautifully crafted set! Imagine, charming streets, vibrant market stalls, and a feeling that the clock is just a little bit slower here, giving you the chance to truly enjoy every second!

Oh, and the shopping, darlings! A treasure trove of cute boutiques and quirky little shops! It was as if someone sprinkled fairy dust over this charming town, making every purchase feel like a lucky find. Now, it’s a little known fact, but I actually started Pink Tutu Sparkles after a shopping trip! I got lost in a fabric shop and came out with ten yards of sparkly pink silk and enough pink feathers to create my first performance outfit, you know the one I performed "I will survive" in? That was at my uni and it had to have been twenty or more tutus I had made for my club members, my god, I think my Mum still has a few stashed away in the loft.

And if you thought that's all, Morden had something extra special up its sleeve! Imagine, darlings, a breathtaking ballet performance, at the beautiful Morden Hall in their theatre space! You can't get more Pink Tutu Sparkles than a gorgeous performance by incredible dancers! I feel a pink tulle cloud every time I get the chance to see a ballet! It's like watching a story unfold on stage. They tell you what they are feeling through the graceful movements and stunning costumes. The costumes made me feel a pang of nostalgia, it reminds me of when I first discovered the wonder of ballet at my own local theatre, but more about that later…

Of course, I had to treat myself to some local delights after the performance! Let me tell you, a charming little cafe serving delicious cakes with an assortment of pink sprinkles and sparkly pink teas is truly my heaven! Everything about it screams 'Pink Tutu Sparkles,' and it was so good!

But the best part of Morden was the people, darling! Such warm and welcoming individuals who, even after they had seen me, the drag queen wearing a fluffy pink tutu, still smiled and welcomed me to their town. They said I was just like one of their own! And the way I was welcomed really made me feel part of the Morden magic! I had one charming man say “lovely to meet you love,” I don’t even know how I reacted to that because at that exact moment a woman asked me “do you sell the tutus, or are you just, a queen? You don't really do science do you love?"

Honestly, Morden! You’re right, it is really good to see people of all sorts, and to see me get so excited about a place and its people that has such strong roots to ballet and arts is truly something special. And as we move onto the next stop on my journey, I can already say it has definitely inspired me to design something truly Morden-worthy for my next big performance.

Until next time, darlings! Stay sparkly, and remember, the world's a lot brighter when you wear a pink tutu. You can't be sad in a tutu!

Lots of Love, Pink Tutu Sparkles, xxx
