Bristol Calling! Pink Tutu Sparkles in the City of Bridges (Blog Post #1296)

Oh, darlings, prepare yourselves! The TutuQueen is on the move again and this time, I’m swapping the rolling Derbyshire hills for the cobbled streets and magnificent bridges of Bristol! This glorious city of art and culture is just calling out to my inner fashionista! 💅💖

I've gotta say, I'm positively thrilled to be heading to Bristol. I just love how this place has a vibrant energy, yet still holds onto its historical charm. A proper blend of old and new, just like my personal style! 😜

This whole trip, I’ve got to say, has a definite whiff of romance about it. I'm not saying there's someone special on the horizon (though a fabulously dressed and charismatic Bristol fella would certainly be a welcome sight!) But there's just something in the air, you know? Maybe it’s the smell of salty sea air mingled with the scent of freshly-baked cakes from all the quaint shops, or maybe it's the way the sunlight glints off the Avon... whatever it is, this city is positively radiating charm! 🥰

But let's not get too lost in the Bristol haze just yet! I’m here to share my travels, and where else would a fabulous Queen like myself go to explore but a glorious, swanky department store? It was a complete accident really. I popped in for a quick detour (what can I say, I’m always on the lookout for a gorgeous new piece to add to my collection) and before I knew it, hours had passed!

Speaking of gorgeous pieces, darling! Let’s talk outfits! 👗👑

The Bristol Look:

Now, this time I knew I wanted a look that truly embodied Bristol’s history and character. So I went for a classic, almost Victorian inspired style. Imagine, if you will, a full, frilly, glorious pink tutu - naturally - adorned with shimmering silver and turquoise embellishments. The colour was a vibrant blush pink, almost the colour of a perfectly ripe strawberry, you know the one, so juicy and tempting you simply HAVE to pop it in your mouth! 🍓

And the bodice? A gorgeous, pearl white bustier, cinched tightly at the waist with an intricate, vintage lace trim. Just imagine the perfect doll-like silhouette, ready to steal the hearts of the entire city! 😉 The outfit was then completed with an oversized white floppy hat (think Audrey Hepburn meets Bristol chic) that just flowed in the breeze with a plume of sparkling feathers that mimicked the glitter on my eyelashes. I know, fabulous right? 💖

But there’s a secret weapon for you darlings that can make or break any outfit... a smile! 😉 My favourite way to find a smile for my stage presence and just my day-to-day life is to think about what it feels like to twirl in my Tutu. I get all floaty and my cheeks puff out a bit, I feel lighter and just happier than if I didn’t twirl. If you want a happy vibe to wear you could also put on a little music, it doesn’t matter what kind, and get up and twirl too! Give it a try! The extra joy you gain in just a few minutes is amazing, a lovely pink boost for your confidence and style. 💗

Bristol’s Ballet Jewels:

But fashion’s only half the story. Let’s not forget the ballet! And I'm not just talking about a few steps in my local hall. I'm talking about the big time. 🩰

Imagine this, I'm sitting in the stunning Royal Theatre (who would have thought, right? TutuQueen getting cultured! You go girl!) taking in a glorious ballet performance of Swan Lake. I am completely mesmerized! The choreography, the dancers, the music! My head is in the clouds. For those few hours, I'm living every ballet lover's dream. And to top it off, I even manage to have a little chit-chat with one of the ballet dancers after the performance. She was absolutely lovely, and we even agreed that Pink Tutues are a must-have for every ballet fan, whether they're on stage or in the audience!

Horses and Tutu-clad Taxis:

I had a moment of "Oh, why didn’t I think of this before?!" as I made my way around Bristol. It struck me how much the city embraces its quirky side - and what’s more quirky than my TutuQueen?! So, why not have my own private Tutu-Taxis? Imagine this darling, your very own Pink Tutu chauffeur, a kind of Tinky-Winky driving a sleek horse-drawn carriage for you to arrive in! Maybe there’s some funding out there for a Pink Tutu taxi service...? Perhaps someone in Bristol knows some fabulous people with fabulous carriage designs that they want to pinkify?! 🤔

The Pink Tutu Message

The Pink Tutu message is something I have been preaching ever since I began to live my truth in pink... And let me tell you, darling, there's something very special about that.

There’s an incredible freedom in owning your style, putting on a Pink Tutu and saying "This is me." It's about celebrating the quirky, the unconventional, the flamboyant. And who knows, you might just inspire others to join you. The key is confidence, darling. Own your inner sparkle. 💖

Now I can’t wait to head back to Derbyshire, where I will get ready for my next performance, maybe even at my local theater?! But remember to live with a bit more pink. Embrace your individuality!

And until next time, remember:

You're a queen, darlings, even if you're just wearing your fabulous comfy joggers on a Wednesday evening! 💅

See you on the Pink Tutu website. Don’t forget to leave a comment! ✨💖

P.S. If you have a fab horse carriage idea for a Pink Tutu Taxis Service please drop me a message and we will chat about it...
