Dover! Post #1509

Oh my darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles is back in action and this time, I've sashayed my way all the way to the stunning cliffs of Dover!

As I sit here in my pink satin hotel room, surrounded by glittering feather boas and enough pink tulle to make a flamingo jealous, I just have to share the excitement with all you fabulous followers!

Let's rewind, shall we? Last week I was swanning around a rather lovely horse-drawn carriage at the Bath Fair. Yes, you heard right! It was my first ever experience in a horse-drawn carriage, and oh darling, it was absolute magic! Just picture it: the gentle clip-clop of the hooves, the sunlight filtering through the leaves of the trees, and me, your glamorous Pink Tutu Sparkles, looking simply divine in my cerise silk dress and my signature, of course, pink tutu! I had all the ladies, gents, and children on the High Street in stitches! (Or, should I say, stitches of pink tulle?!)

So, after that whirlwind of a fair, I packed up my glittery suitcases, waved goodbye to the cobblestones of Bath, and boarded the train for Dover. A train journey, I tell you, is my ultimate form of travel. You get to sip on tea, nibble on cucumber sandwiches, and gaze at the gorgeous passing scenery – and it's all while wearing your fanciest pink outfit! Speaking of which, I opted for my fuchsia lace dress and a voluminous tutu with pink feathered trims. I even managed to sneak in a little ballet practice on the train – I am a ballet dancer, you know, even in drag!

Anyway, let me tell you all about the stunning Cliffs of Dover! Oh my, it was truly awe-inspiring. The vast expanse of the ocean, the fresh sea air whipping through my pink feather boa, and the feeling of pure freedom… it was truly breathtaking! I was positively giddy, like a school girl who’s just seen a tutu for the first time. And speaking of school, you know how it all began, don’t you? That pink tutu… I had been a lab-coat-clad scientist by day and then at night, I was experimenting on audiences. The tutu started with a charity event for the university ballet club… they dared me to wear one, and then, well, the rest is history, isn’t it? It just goes to show, my dears, that even in the most unlikely of places, magic can happen.

The next morning, I was up bright and early, heading down to Dover beach for a morning ballet practice. I must say, the view from the shore with the white cliffs in the background, and the sky the perfect shade of pastel pink, made for the most picturesque ballet practice ever. (Let’s face it, anything looks good in pink!) I took full advantage of my backdrop, capturing the moment on my phone. Those Insta-worthy pictures, my dears, are sure to get you all saying “Omigosh, she’s fabulous!” And who wouldn’t, with a tutu and pink hair flying in the wind as I pirouette to the sound of the waves!

Then it was time for a spot of retail therapy. I had my eye on a dazzling fuchsia velvet jacket, and darling, you just cannot pass up a velvet jacket, can you? You know I had to match it with a whole look too! I wandered the Dover streets, taking in all the gorgeous shops and antique boutiques. Finally, I snagged the jacket and the perfect pink floral skirt, and even found a shimmering, sparkling pink tiara for a touch of royalty. Oh, the magic of retail therapy, my dears, it truly can turn any ordinary day into an extraordinary pink-tastic affair!

After my fashion frenzy, I headed back to the hotel for a much-needed rest. You wouldn’t believe the amount of dancing I had done, and as much as I love strutting my stuff in a tutu, it can be tiring. I sat by the window, watching the sun sink behind the cliffs and sipping my tea (oh, the magic of tea – another great British thing!).

And as I settled into the soft, pink-tinted duvet in my hotel room, I realised this is what life’s all about! Living each day to the fullest, sharing joy with others, spreading love and laughter, and always, always, ALWAYS rocking my signature pink tutu! You know, I honestly feel like I have a superpower – I can spread happiness just by wearing my pink tutu! And with the help of all you amazing followers, we can truly make the world a brighter and pinker place.

Oh, my darlings, I have a confession. After that magical day in Dover, I think my love for pink tutus just went up a notch! It really did feel like I was transported to another world… A pink wonderland, just for me!

And that’s my blog, my darlings! A pink-tastic, whirlwind adventure in Dover. Until next time, keep your sparkle on! Remember to head over to the comments to let me know your favourite part of today's adventure and make sure to check out our latest website on www.pink-tutu.com. See you soon!
