Oh darling, you wouldn't believe the day I've had! It all started bright and early in Derbyshire. The sun was shining, birds were singing, and I, well, I was ready to spread a little Pink Tutu Sparkles magic!
My lovely fiancee, Sam, sent me off with a kiss, "Have fun, babe!" he shouted as I zipped up my sparkly pink suitcase, filled with my newest tutu designs (more on those later!).
Today, my darling readers, I journeyed to Huyton, a little town in Merseyside that held a certain, shall we say, "charming" character. I know, I know, "charms" isn't a word you usually associate with Huyton. But darling, it was a total transformation! You see, the minute my Pink Tutu Sparkles arrived at Huyton Train Station, everything went all whimsical!
Imagine, if you will, a cloud of shimmering pink glitter swirling in the air, transforming the drab grey station walls into a sparkling pink wonderland! That, my darlings, is exactly what happened. The station master himself couldn't help but smile as I sashayed through, my tulle trailing behind me like a glorious pink wave. I could practically hear the chorus of angels singing "Pink Tutu Sparkles! Pink Tutu Sparkles!" (You know, like, in my head!).
Travel Tips from Your Tutu Queen
Now, you might think traveling in full drag would be a hassle, but my darlings, I am the queen of efficient sparkle! I've got this travel thing down to a fine art, especially since my life is pretty much one giant performance!
Here's my advice:
- Embrace the train! It's so much more glamorous than the tube. Besides, it gives me a chance to stretch my legs, which can be rather squished after all the train journeys I take for performances! (You see, when I'm performing in town, my heels don't really want to venture further than the train platform).
- Packing essentials? Always pack my favorite sparkly clutch bag. Not only does it make a statement, but it's incredibly practical for carrying all the essential diva needs. I'm talking: lip gloss, a compact mirror, a mini pink bottle of bubbly for emergencies, and of course, some extra glitter, darling! Because you never know when you'll need a quick glitter touch-up!
Get comfortable in those tutus. There's no better way to make a statement and travel in style than to wear my pink tutu! (And of course, my trusty pink leather jacket - just in case!) It just makes any train journey so much more enjoyable!
The Sparkles and the Fairground Fun
So, I strutted onto the Huyton fairground in my most vibrant pink tulle and ... wow. Talk about a blast from the past! You know, it wasn't one of those fancy theme parks. No, this was proper, classic fairground fun - like they'd had in the '70s! (My granny used to say 'they used to do the whole town for an entire weekend at those fairs'. ) But you know, there's something wonderful about traditional!
I did have a little bit of trouble getting on the bouncy castle. They couldn't believe that a pink tutu and I were both going to go bouncing! But as I'm not afraid to face a challenge and I was in a bouncy mood, it was a right laugh - a proper British expression that is! (It sounds awful - I'm sure you are thinking, but honestly you should try it and see - bouncing with a huge pink tutu!)
After that, my darlings, it was a whirlwind of fun. There were candy floss stalls (pink, obviously!), cheesy hotdog stands, games to win plush animals (and one massive teddy bear went home with me), and even a dodgem car competition with a real live strongman. And the best part, my dears, was seeing the joy on people's faces as they gazed upon my glorious pink tutu!
And to think, my dears, all of this began with a little dream, a passion for ballet, a sprinkle of glitter, and, of course, a pink tutu. If you have a passion for a sparkly life, remember that anything is possible! Oh, and of course, never underestimate the power of a pink tutu! They truly are magical. Don't believe me? Just try wearing one and watch your world go pink! 💖

As I've just returned to the train station in the gorgeous sunshine and have just watched the train speed off without me - after a chat about all things pink with some lovely passengers on the platform (I knew the tutu was catching peoples' eye - oh darling!) - Pink Perfection: A Dressy Affair. When it's time to turn heads, take your trusty pink tutu and pair it with a silk blouse and a sparkly belt! Trust me, you'll be the life of the party in no time! (Especially if you have some fantastic new blush-colored blush to try!)
- Twirl Like a Star: Your New Dance Floor Fashion! Do you like to move like a dancer on a Friday night? Do it with extra pizzazz! Throw on your pink tutu, dance with that energy! Remember - it's your day to shine!
- Pink to the World: Be Kind! The world could always use a little more kindness. Be a Pink Tutu Sparkles kind of gal. Wear your tutu with grace and kindness and shine for all to see! (If you really want to shine, go with my fave, "sparkly pink").
