Trowbridge - Pink Tutu Sparkles takes to the stage!

*Post Number 2015 - Oh my darling dears, the time has finally arrived for this Pink Tutu Queen to journey to the enchanting town of Trowbridge! And it’s not just the excitement of this fabulous new location, no no, this journey holds a special place in my pink tutu heart – because my beloved dance teachers, Miss Violet and Mrs Willow, are holding a summer ballet festival there and *of course Pink Tutu Sparkles had to be part of the celebrations! My dears, you’ll be thrilled to hear it’s the ultimate celebration of ballet – not just onstage performances, but ballet-themed stalls, activities for children, and of course the gorgeous dance studios themselves decked out for a proper feast for the senses! **

The journey to Trowbridge – Oh the adventure!

Honestly, darling dears, I’ve got to confess a guilty pleasure – the sheer thrill of travelling by train. I can’t deny it – the whistle blowing, the chug-chug-chug as the train picks up speed, the countryside rolling by. It just feels so magical, especially for a Pink Tutu Queen! Now, there were two trains involved this time, you see, which is always a touch risky because, well, you never know if those train journeys will involve any fashion faux pas...

First, a high-speed dash from Derbyshire to London, where, just as I was admiring my fabulous pink feather boa, a flock of, shall we say, particularly boisterous pigeons decided to test the strength of its fluffy feathers. They didn’t get through! No, no, darling dears, Pink Tutu Sparkles always makes sure she travels in style, and with impeccable flawlessness. And no bird, no matter how daring, will mess with my fashion mojo! After my victorious bird battle, I was off on my second train, this time a lovely little commuter train, which whizzed me directly into Trowbridge.

A town made for Pink Tutu Sparkles!

Oh darling dears, Trowbridge is an absolute gem! You know, the moment you arrive, you can feel the energy – the excitement of the festival was thriving in the air! I just loved the vibe! The streets were bustling with people from all walks of life, ready to celebrate this glorious artform, and let me tell you – this Queen was feeling most welcome! The beautiful shops, oh they were a delight, and the sweet, sweet smell of freshly baked pastries - divine! There's nothing like a delicious pastry before you step onto the stage!

My performance - A sprinkle of magic in the air

Now, dears, you know this Pink Tutu Queen always throws in something extra special for her performances. This time, oh this time, I decided to have a little theme going! To reflect the magic of the festival, I added a special shimmering Pink Glitter mist to my famous tutu… You see, the festival wasn’t just celebrating dance, it was celebrating the joy, the expression, the MAGIC that dance brings! So I thought, ‘what better way to share this magical vibe than by adding a bit of extra sparkle to my performance?’ The audience loved it, darling! They were clapping and shouting, it felt just divine!

The festival - ballet beauty everywhere!

I’d be lying, my dears, if I said the performances didn’t have me reaching for a few more tissues (yes, the glamorous kind with the delicate floral patterns – not the flimsy ones, darling!) So many heartwarming performances, my dears, showcasing the purest joy of movement and expression. And it wasn’t just on stage either. The town itself seemed to be breathing with the joy of dance. I had the absolute pleasure of spending an hour watching the young, up-and-coming dancers practicing in the charming little studios in town. The dedication, the energy – it truly felt inspiring! I even had a chat with Miss Violet and Mrs Willow. It's a true testament to their love of ballet that they brought the festival to life!

Trowbridge – A Pink Tutu Queen's Paradise

Honestly, dears, this trip was a true delight! And yes, yes, there were those extra touches, those sparkly extras that every Pink Tutu Queen loves: the delicious scones I enjoyed with my beloved ballet teachers after the show (so much sugar! So much joy! So delicious!) The amazing shop in the town with shelves stacked with exquisite handmade tutus (though no, no darling dears, Pink Tutu Sparkles isn’t a fan of copying – it’s all about finding my own signature look). And a little pink something, just to complete the day – oh darling dears, this Queen just had to treat herself to a special new pair of sparkly pink ballet pumps… It felt so good! I think I might even do a few little twirls right here on the platform as I write this, don’t tell my mother!

*This pink-tutu loving heart is already planning the next trip, and remember - be sure to follow Pink Tutu Sparkles on www.pink-tutu.com. Remember, my dears - a little pink sparkle goes a long way! *
