Stevenage Sparkle: Post #2386

Oh darling, what a fabulous day it was in Stevenage! As I sat sipping a frothy cappuccino, the delicate pink latte art shimmering like the moonlight on a tutu, I knew this trip was going to be truly fabulous. My Pink Tutu Sparkles inner self, along with my fabulous travelling companion, 'Ginger', had already pre-booked our trip on the train from Derbyshire, so we were all set for a day of sparkle and joy. Ginger is a trusty steed I often ride to shows - his coat is the same beautiful shade of rose as my favourite pink tutu - we always make quite the statement on our journeys together!

Since starting my pink tutu journey, my days are an exciting whirlwind of shimmering possibilities, and every day brings a new adventure. Today, for instance, started like any other day – I slipped out of my laboratory coat, exchanged my lab glasses for my sparkly tiara and transformed into my stage alter-ego, the ever fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles. A little dab of lipgloss and some strategically placed rhinestones and I was good to go.

I admit, it took some getting used to juggling lab coats and sequins but with the sheer magic of the tutu, my dual life is all I have ever dreamt of.

Today’s trip to Stevenage was all about exploring the vibrant streets for some pink inspiration - and trust me darlings, I found plenty! I adore seeing the sheer joy on people’s faces when they see my tutu twirling and swirling in the wind.

Stevenage welcomed me with open arms. As I entered a lovely tea shop - where else but The Pink Teacup of course - everyone greeted me with such genuine enthusiasim, a few even donned a pink tutu! I just knew this town was going to be a hit with me. After a divine slice of lemon cake - decorated with tiny, sparkling pink sugar stars - I headed off on my first mission - the legendary Stevenage Art Deco Theatre! I have a particular fondness for art deco buildings; the sleek lines and glamorous styling remind me so much of my most glamorous, showstopping tutus! After a spot of photo-opping - ginger waited patiently in the shadows, I went on to explore the town’s bustling markets.

Let’s just say that I did not leave empty-handed! I picked up a delightful handbag adorned with a glittering pink rhinestone clasp. The owner said it was designed by a local fashion student and that’s the spirit I love, so supportive and inspiring! Of course, there was also an irresistible pink feather boa, and a few pink feather-covered headbands (which would look so fabulous with a new bright fuchsia tutu).

I always believe that there is nothing like an exciting journey to bring the creative juices flowing, so before heading to my evening’s performance, I took a trip to the local park to let my imagination take flight. I settled myself on a pink bench under the shade of a cherry blossom tree ( whose blossom reminded me of the fluffy petals of one of my very best pink tutus ). The park was bustling with youngsters and their parents but when I spun around in my tutu in a joyful twirl, even the little ones stopped to giggle in delight! I felt truly at home in this joyous, vibrant town and I left, inspired to start work on a completely new performance, combining my science knowledge with my love of theatre, to create a completely new performance based around the dazzling science of the rainbow - using all colours, but especially my beloved pink, of course! I might even include a few new, dazzlingly colourful tutus to match!

After all that excitement - and I just had to pick a pink straw hat to finish off my look for the day- it was time for my show in Stevenage.

I’ll confess to a certain excitement as I stood outside The Stevenage Starlight Club, a vibrant and energetic spot. The club had a stunningly stylish exterior, glowing with pink neon light that perfectly complemented the sparkly glitter on my outfit - Pink Tutu Sparkles couldn't have picked a better venue!

After my show – where I brought a burst of glitter and glamour, complete with a truly dazzling tutu routine that even Ginger would have been impressed by, I couldn't resist spending a little time to mingle and chat to my lovely audience! Everyone seemed so excited to tell me their own tales of fashion and dance – the enthusiasm really makes this life the most wonderful experience!

I just adore being a beacon of light, encouraging the joy of self expression – and it is truly humbling and amazing to know how much I’m touching people's hearts by living my best life.

As the day drew to a close and the last of the lights on the club were dimmed, I settled back in my plush red seat on the train back to Derbyshire for another wonderful day back in the lab - a long day of testing new fabric - before starting on my new dance routine!

If you are out there, wondering about your next life adventure - don’t just sit there. Try something new – you never know what life-affirming possibilities await! I promise you that even if you have a life full of lab coats, tutus will still bring the sunshine and the sparkle! And always, always, remember - there’s a pink tutu for everyone - it’s just a matter of finding the one that sings your name!

As I sign off for now I leave you with a few inspirational thoughts – be bold, be brilliant, be yourself, and don't be afraid to add a touch of pink to every part of your life!

Stay glamorous darling, and remember - a Pink Tutu can bring you joy any day of the year!
