I'm just buzzing to be in this iconic city, famous for its music, its football, and its stunning architecture! The Liver birds on the Liver Building? Oh my god, I swear they were winking at me this morning! 😄 And don't even get me started on the fab boutiques and shops… I'm already eyeing a few pink tutus for the stage!
Now, getting to Liverpool, as a self-proclaimed advocate for all things travel, had to be done in style! I took a gorgeous, old-fashioned steam train from my Derbyshire digs. The scenery was breathtaking, just like the fluffy tulle I twirled around as the engine chugged along! ✨
Oh, darling, let's rewind a bit. I am actually Alex by day, a humble fabric tester, keeping clothes from looking drab in a laboratory! Yes, it's a glamorous life, believe me, haha! But at night, the real fun begins. This little pink-tutu-loving gal explodes on stage! 💅 It all started back in uni, you know, with a science degree, a tutu for charity, and a whole lotta glitter!
But back to my trip. Now, as always, I have to mention my main mission: to get everyone rocking a pink tutu! You know, to spread joy, happiness, and some seriously fabulous fashion! 😄 I’ve spotted a few folks sporting the right colours, though they haven’t taken the plunge yet, but hey, I've got time! Liverpool, you are about to be bathed in the pinkest glow! ✨
Tonight, I’m hitting the stage at the Liverpool Arts Fair. My set list is packed with glitter bombs and tutus that could rival a princess’s wardrobe! The energy will be electric, and I can't wait to see everyone singing along. 😉 Plus, maybe, just maybe, some new converts to the pink tutu world! 😉
Yesterday, I had a wonderful time visiting the Royal Albert Dock. You guys, this place is absolutely breathtaking. I almost swore off the city life for this picturesque charm! 😜 The red brick buildings and the sparkling waterfront? Heaven! And let's not forget, I did my duty and sampled some of the local delights! (Honestly, Liverpool, your scones and jam are divine. 😋).
However, as much as I adore those majestic old buildings, I'm actually a complete ballet nut! So, on my little list for today? Catching a show at the prestigious Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. This, lovelies, is where dreams come true! Ballet, music, a touch of magic? Don't mind if I do! 🥰
Oh, and the afternoon? Shopping! Of course! (The thrill of the hunt for the perfect pink tulle fabric? I’m living for it!) You know I have to look my best for this weekend’s gig, and you just know I’m not going to just go out there in an old tutu, now, am I? No way! ✨ I need something dazzling. Something to match Liverpool's brilliance!
Speaking of brilliance, the talent in this city is just off the charts! I’ve bumped into the most incredible street performers! There was this incredible ballerina dancing outside the town hall, gracefully leaping across the street and making me seriously regret my day job. I swear I could watch her forever! But that, my friends, would leave me no time for exploring!
And explore I will! Tonight, after the fair, I'm on a mission to find the perfect pub with live music! Liverpool has a vibe all of its own, and I'm just soaking it all up, lovelies!
