Paris: City of Lights, City of Tutus! - Post #3124

Oh, my darlings! Can you believe it? Your favourite pink-tutu-clad, travel-obsessed queen is in the City of Lights! cue the dramatic Parisian sigh I know, right? Pink Tutu Sparkles in Paris! It feels like a dream, like one of those perfectly staged scenes from a ballet – you know, the kind where the ballerina twirls across the stage under a golden spotlight and you're just completely mesmerised. whispers It's happening!

Well, not quite a golden spotlight yet, but trust me, my dearest dears, a Parisian adventure for your Queen is already off to a glorious start. This journey began as all good things do – with a trip to the train station. There's something just so magical about those old railway platforms, the bustle and anticipation of a journey about to unfold. And what's more exciting than travelling by train? Nothing, my friends! Nothing except perhaps... wearing a pink tutu while doing it! You see, I’m not one for sticking to the usual travel attire, I believe in a dash of glitz and glamour, no matter where I go! So, naturally, my fuchsia tulle masterpiece had pride of place in my suitcase – you just can't have a pink tutu adventure without a fabulous pink tutu, darling!

I couldn't leave Derbyshire without a little local flair though. So, you know, just before I boarded the train, I popped down to the market for some Derbyshire oatcakes. You simply cannot leave the Peak District without experiencing those! I was tempted by the stalls overflowing with juicy local strawberries, but alas, my bag was already groaning under the weight of all my essentials: my ballet shoes, a book of French poetry for inspiration (and some pretty pictures!), my makeup bag, and, of course, my ever-so-slightly squashed tutu. Honestly, even in a carefully packed bag, tulle can be a bit of a handful! But worry not, dears, after a little shake and fluff, my darling tutu emerged, ready to paint the Parisian streets pink.

Oh, and talking about painting, don't even get me started on the fashion I found in Paris! From the moment I stepped out of the Gare du Nord, the city started talking to me with its chic Parisian charm and the most exquisite array of colours. cue dramatic gasp You could say my wardrobe went on quite the Parisian adventure. After a delightful little afternoon in the Montmartre district, exploring the artists' streets and admiring the street art, I stumbled upon a shop selling vintage dresses. Now, as you all know, Pink Tutu Sparkles is an absolute sucker for vintage finery, especially when it's draped in the most fabulous pink shades imaginable! So naturally, a pink frock with the most divine little peplum had to be mine. Just think – I'll be waltzing around the Seine like a pink-clad fairytale princess, with that perfect Parisian touch.

Later, I made my way to the Eiffel Tower. This time I wasn't just there to appreciate the views - although, honestly, who could not be mesmerized by those city lights twinkling beneath us? But for this trip, I was in search of inspiration. A pink tutu must feel at home amongst all that beauty, so I made a note of it all, envisioning the perfect photo-op, the one that'll bring a little sparkle to your Instagram feeds! (Don't worry, my dears, there will be a photoshoot – with or without the tower!).

You see, darling, for a Pink Tutu Sparkles in Paris, every corner feels like a scene out of a ballet – whether I'm wandering past charming cafes in Montmartre, gazing upon the majesty of the Notre Dame Cathedral, or enjoying a delicious crepe (my favourite is caramel, of course!), each moment is an opportunity to embrace the theatricality of the world.

And as a bonus, it's not just I who loves tutus here! I saw a couple dancing to a tango in the Place de la Concorde, dressed in perfectly coordinated outfits... You know, black dresses and those gorgeous silver stiletto shoes. I thought how delightful!, then it struck me: the whole theme would work beautifully in pink! (Don't you just love when a Pink Tutu Sparkles has a great idea? I knew you would!) So, here I am, already planning a Pink Tango Show with Pink Tutu Sparkles as the guest star, obviously. Imagine! The whole thing will be just as pinktastic as I can possibly make it. laughs

But first, we have more adventures ahead. And of course, there's the ballet show at the Palais Garnier tomorrow night – the very heart of Paris! My love affair with ballet knows no boundaries, my dears! Just picture me, all pink and glittery, perched amidst the grand Parisian crowds. It’s all about being bold and vibrant and letting those tulle layers swish around you, you know! The tutu is my own little magical fairy-tale cape that takes me to new places, gives me courage and, well, allows me to embrace my inner pink princess! And that's exactly how a Pink Tutu Sparkles rolls!

But before I dash off to explore more Parisian wonders, remember, your Queen is always up to something fabulous, always embracing the joy of tutus and pink. And there’s still so much more to explore here: museums, markets, maybe a visit to the ballet studio...

Oh, and I can't wait to show you my new Pink Tutu Look – it's a pink-tastic Parisian masterpiece in progress, my dears. Trust me, it's something very special and it's going to blow you all away.

Keep checking back here for the next instalment in this fabulously pink adventure! And, until then, don't forget to let your inner pink tutu shine!

bows gracefully, ending the blog post with a signature, pink glitter bomb explosion effect.

Yours eternally,
Pink Tutu Sparkles
(and a very tiny Alex whispering 'you bet!)
