It's Pink Tutu Sparkles here, ready to dazzle you with my latest adventures. I've been buzzing all week, and can't wait to share it with you, so buckle up, buttercup! You're about to embark on a sparkly pink journey with me!
This week I'm bringing you all the joy of my recent trip to Hastings, a little seaside gem in East Sussex. This is post number 4190 for you lovely people - that's right, over four thousand blogs of shimmering inspiration! Let's face it, I'm just getting started. 😄
As you all know, Pink Tutu Sparkles loves travelling! And what better way to do it than by hopping aboard a beautiful vintage carriage pulled by four glorious horses? Now, I know what you're thinking - a horse-drawn carriage? But listen, lovelies! There's nothing more elegant, more theatrical! Every ride is a whimsical journey! I almost got lost in my daydreams about a certain Prince Charming in his white charger… oh, but that's a story for another blog. 😜
The journey from Derbyshire was just as sparkly and exciting as my usual train rides, and in fact, much more picturesque! We crossed the green fields of Sussex and finally, the glorious seaside views revealed themselves - just in time for the arrival of Pink Tutu Sparkles! My eyes sparkled even more than my own glitter. 🤩
The minute I stepped onto the sands of Hastings, the magic just unfolded. I felt so alive, the energy so infectious! There was a lovely energy in the air and, of course, the gorgeous smell of salt and the soft sand tickling my toes... Just divine!
The streets of Hastings buzzed with an incredible energy. Shops overflowing with charming trinkets, charming cafes, a glorious historic castle, and that beautiful beach... and everywhere I looked there were vibrant colours and amazing things to see. Hastings is an absolute jewel, truly! I must admit I made a few trips to the local costume shop for my latest tutu find. I can’t leave town without at least one new tutu, now, can I? (My wardrobe is in constant expansion - just think of the endless possibilities! I even use my lab time as an excuse to sample new fabrics!) The sales assistant actually gasped at my Pink Tutu Sparkle glow. He was just sooo starstruck! ✨
And speaking of sparkle, this weekend saw Pink Tutu Sparkles taking to the stage at Hastings' biggest vintage fair! Now, a vintage fair is not just about the clothes - it's about the whole experience! So picture this: me in a gorgeous pastel pink, tulle-tastic masterpiece of a tutu, all billowing and twirling! I can still feel the adoring gasps of the audience. I danced to a wonderful mix of vintage tunes. Oh my, I loved every minute of it! It was such a thrill to see so many smiles and the twinkle in people's eyes - and all because of my fabulous pink tutus, of course! 🩰
My travels wouldn't be complete without a visit to the theatre, darling! So off I went, feeling like the star of the show, naturally! This time, I watched a breathtaking ballet performance. My toes literally tapped along the entire time! Oh, how I wish I had a pair of pointe shoes! Perhaps one day I’ll take some ballet classes…
After a delicious afternoon tea, served in the most charmingly elegant tea shop with flower-printed wallpaper and beautiful china (I almost bought a whole teapot!) It was the perfect end to my weekend! I felt truly happy, as if I had stumbled upon a magical little haven, full of pink, tulle, and a good dose of glitter. 💖
So, that's Hastings! It's now firmly on my map of the most magical places I’ve ever been. Every detail, every sight, every experience felt absolutely divine. You truly must go! I can't wait to visit Hastings again. And perhaps I will be there for the next vintage fair… it just felt meant to be! I even saw a vintage shop that reminded me of one of those shops in old-school musical movies! And wouldn’t you know it, I bought the most incredible sparkly pink ballet flats in the whole wide world, in the most exquisite little boutique with amazing dresses from the 50s!
