Pink Tutu Sparkles here! 👋 Welcome back to my fabulous world of pink tutus, fabulous frocks and even more fabulous fun! This is post number 4376 for ya, can you believe it? Time flies when you’re living the life, darlings! And this week, I’ve been soaring through the air in Bilston! 🚂💨
Oh, my sweet pea-pods, you know I simply couldn’t resist the call of the stage, even on Christmas Eve. It's always the busiest time for a drag queen like me! But don't worry, I squeezed in time for some shopping and a spot of ballet beforehand. This time around, I decided to take the train to Bilston - it was an absolute dream! I swear I saw the most gorgeous little pink bird outside the station... perhaps it was a lucky omen, wouldn't you say?
The Colour of Love 💕
The train was practically an extension of my boudoir, I'll tell you. So much sparkle! Everywhere I looked, the colour pink just seemed to follow me around like a sweet, adorable shadow. Just the way I like it! As for Bilston itself, oh honey! I almost went completely bonkers over the adorable little boutiques - it was like a sartorial treasure hunt! 🎁 Let's just say my suitcase needed a little bit of extra help getting home! I've always been a girly girl, always drawn to that delicate femininity. And pink is just...well, it’s the perfect representation of that. It’s a symbol of love, laughter and just a touch of whimsy!
Bilston: The Pink Tutu Sparkle ✨
And who could resist a trip to a theatre show after all that excitement? Honestly, darlings, I swear, there’s just something magical about putting on my pink tutu, all sparkly and perfect, and knowing that every eye in the theatre is going to be on me! The applause, the laughs, that electric energy that comes from performing for the crowd....It just feeds my soul!
Tonight I performed at a sweet little bar that had more glitter than you could possibly imagine. It was like a kaleidoscope of lights and smiles. You could almost smell the fun and energy in the air. The crowds here in Bilston know how to party, let me tell you! They lapped up every second of the show. Every twirl, every shimmy, every witty line - all perfectly delivered with a healthy dose of pink tulle, of course!
My Bilston Fashion Fairy 🧚♀️
Did you see the new pair of fabulous heels I wore? Honey, you won't believe the time I spent picking out that pair! As if the shop assistant hadn't got a big enough task on her hands, I've gotta try every single pink shoe in the entire place. And the detail, the detailing! The little touches of embroidery and jewels....oh darling! They almost put a tear in my eye, I was so overcome with sheer sartorial ecstasy!
But look, darling, this is what I’m all about - that's the whole point, really! Pink, pink, and more pink! Every little spark, every shimmer, and all of it tied together by the prettiest, most adorable pink tutu this world has ever seen.
And don't even get me started on the pink macaron I had at that adorable tea shop on the high street! Oh darling, I’ve gotta find a way to get those back to Derbyshire! It's simply a pink tutu heaven, this place.
Dreamy Ballet Bliss ✨
Speaking of magical things, I just had to squeeze in a little ballet practice while I was in Bilston! You see, I absolutely love the ballet. It’s so graceful and delicate, a real expression of true feminine power.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not actually the greatest dancer on this planet (although, who’s to say what’s true anymore, darling?! 😉) but I love watching the professionals do their thing. I was lucky enough to see a production of the Nutcracker at the Bilston theatre and it just... took my breath away. The movements were like poetry in motion.
And there's just something special about being at the theatre - feeling that thrill of live performance. Even if it’s just watching those fabulous dancers pirouette on stage. It's always magical! And a little dose of graceful magic is just what we all need in this chaotic world, don't you think?

Well, darlings, that's my trip to Bilston in a nutshell! It was just the shot of pink energy I needed to fuel the fire, get that sparkle back in my step, and now, I’m ready for whatever comes my way next!
