Hello my darlings! Today I’m all a-flutter like a hummingbird in a hurricane because I'm heading to Rowley Regis, a beautiful town in the West Midlands that has been calling my name! I've got my pink tutu packed (naturally, wouldn't dream of travelling without it!), a selection of feather boas so magnificent you could fly to the moon on them, and a suitcase overflowing with glittery dresses fit for a fairy godmother.
You see, my lovelies, I believe in spreading the joy of pink tutus and good times wherever I go, and Rowley Regis has a particular draw. They’ve got a fantastic town hall with a beautiful Victorian architecture and, rumour has it, an old theatre with a stage waiting to be dazzled by Pink Tutu Sparkles. Plus, the Black Country Living Museum - a whole museum dedicated to the history of this region - calls out to my inner historian! So many fabulous photoshoots for my blog await!
This is a bit of a change of pace from last week’s whirlwind trip to Edinburgh. I mean, I adored the Scottish capital - their bagpipes really get my sequins swinging, and their haggis (after a good splash of gravy) is something special! I think I managed to convince several folk to consider incorporating a touch of pink tutu into their everyday wardrobe. Oh, and the ballet show I saw there at the Festival Theatre? Simply sublime. Edinburgh’s got ballet, we’ve got theatre!
This journey’s going to be different though – I'm planning to arrive by train, taking in the beautiful countryside of the West Midlands. I might even splurge on a first-class carriage and have a posh picnic! If the weather permits, a horse-drawn carriage ride through the town might just be in order. Oh, what a vision that would make - a vision in pink tutu, my darling!
Speaking of vision, you might be wondering how I manage to combine this extraordinary drag lifestyle with my daytime life. Well, you wouldn't believe it, but I actually work in a laboratory testing fabrics! Can you imagine that? By day I'm a scientist in a lab coat and by night I'm a sparkling diva! But trust me, my lovelies, there’s no bigger thrill than seeing people's faces light up when they catch a glimpse of my pink tutu! It makes all the long days in the lab worth it.
Of course, my whole journey is powered by the love of pink tutus, the joy of dance, and the boundless possibilities that come with putting on my sparkling heels and my magical tutu. I mean, let's face it - life's too short to wear boring clothes.
