For my gorgeous followers who don't know me, I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles, the pinkest of all drag queens! My life is a whirlwind of sparkle, glitter, and fabulous pink tutus. My days are filled with experimenting with divine fabrics, thanks to my scientific background, while my nights are spent dazzling audiences as Pink Tutu Sparkles, inspiring a love of tutus far and wide.
Today, we're travelling back in time, because I'm spilling the tea about my most recent Dover adventure! After my incredible ballet performance at the grand Derby Theatre, I found myself on a rather charming train journey down to Kent. The carriages were packed full of holidaymakers with excited whispers of the seaside and sunny days ahead. I admit, the sight of the endless English countryside was something special. Those idyllic green fields and rolling hills are certainly the best company when it comes to planning your next amazing tutu ensemble!
You know me, I always have a special outfit planned for every new location. And Dover, oh darling, it was simply sparkling! The ancient white cliffs of Dover - a magnificent backdrop to the pink and fluffy majesty that was my fabulous tutu.
Picture it: my favourite pink tutu with feathers fluttering like doves as I stood atop the cliffs, feeling the wind in my hair. My sequined top shimmered under the blushing sunlight. My makeup was perfectly bold, a statement of glamorous rebellion, fit for a true Dover queen. I know what you're thinking - that's one photo shoot I cannot miss!
We've got to talk about those majestic white cliffs. My fellow tutu lovers, what could be a better inspiration for a new, fabulous pink tutu? Darling, they reminded me of the crisp, cool, white fabric that I often work with in my lab, experimenting with textures and feels, dreaming up future fabulous tutu designs.
I knew this Dover trip would be an unforgettable experience, especially after stumbling across an amazing opportunity to grace the stunning stage of the Dover Playhouse. Yes, my dearest, another fabulous performance!
I'd managed to secure a brilliant show at the end of a packed-to-the-brim Dover Summer Festival. The theatre itself was a sight to behold! An old Victorian structure brimming with history, just perfect for a bit of pink Tutu Sparkles magic.
And, oh darling, the Dover audience was simply spectacular! I was welcomed with open arms (and a few very generous claps) as I strutted out in my specially designed, sparkling tutu. Each twirl, each flourish, every giggle and chuckle – it all went down a treat with my Dover darlings! I must tell you, it's always so special to share a smile with my fans and to get those gorgeous hearts dancing to my every pirouette.
Dover had even more to offer. You won't believe it, my glorious lovelies, but I even found time to visit a rather lovely craft market. Just imagine a treasure trove of delights! It was all there: hand-painted pottery, local jams and chutneys, knitted baby clothes, and, believe it or not, FABULOUS fabrics! (Can you guess who snapped up the brightest shade of pink crepe de chine?) I just knew this splendid pink fabric would look incredible with feathers for a truly divine tutu, fit for a duchess and perfect for my next performance at The Shakespeare Theatre, as we call it back home in Derby.
Darling readers, Dover, Dover, oh darling, you stole my heart with your coastal charm and captivating sights! And yes, I even took a ferry to Calais! It’s amazing what you can achieve when your Tutu sparkles as brightly as mine.
