Oh my, where to begin?! I've just spent the most gloriously sparkly weekend in London, and it's honestly left my tutu-clad heart brimming with joy! The big smoke is calling and this pink queen was ready to answer!
It's all thanks to my amazing agent, who booked me a show at the legendary "Rainbow Tights" drag bar on a cobbled side street just a hop, skip, and jump from Covent Garden. It's known for its glamorous atmosphere and even more fabulous crowd, and oh boy, did it deliver! ✨
Now, as you all know, this Pink Tutu Sparkles doesn't travel lightly! It's not a quick cab journey in these sparkles. Instead, I took the scenic route. There's nothing more fabulous than gazing out the window of a train, watching the countryside roll by. It really lets you relax, letting the stresses of the week melt away and prepare for the fabulousness that awaits. Besides, the carriage is basically my dressing room - those comfy seats are ideal for primping!
After a quick freshen-up, a sprinkle of glitter, and a final pat of lip gloss, I was ready to unleash my dazzling pink persona. And boy, did London embrace it! The crowds loved my performance and even the bartender said it was the best 'pink explosion' he'd ever seen in the "Rainbow Tights." Oh, I must tell you - he even bought me a bottle of Prosecco and gave me the best tips he'd ever given a performer - all because I included a particularly dazzling twirl sequence. The secret? Lots of pink tulle and even more sparkles! 😉
After the show, the crowds weren't letting me go without a few photos. You know how much I love getting a photo in my tutu with new faces, it helps to share the love! So we had a blast and made sure everyone had a chance to grab a shot with their own personal Pink Tutu Sparkles. I even ended up signing a few autographs - you never know when a performer's magic will make an impression!
Speaking of magical, I couldn't have left London without a visit to the ballet! My dear friend, Daphne, came with me, and we saw the most exquisite performance of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House. Honestly, the sheer artistry and emotion in every movement sent chills down my spine. The delicate tulle costumes were to die for! The grace, the elegance - it inspired me like never before!
Later, I treated Daphne and myself to some much-deserved afternoon tea, followed by a delightful shopping spree. We snagged some seriously fabulous shoes in a cute little boutique nestled between the grand department stores. I’m always on the lookout for perfect platform heels to add a touch of height to my performance, so you can bet I walked away with more than a few pairs!
The whole weekend felt like a dream - pink and sparkly, of course! It reminded me why I do what I do. Spreading joy, sparking creativity, and encouraging everyone to embrace their inner fabulousness, even if it means wearing a pink tutu in public!
