Oh my darlings, let me tell you, my visit to Ashton was a dream! It's like a little corner of fairyland tucked away, and you all know how much this little tutu-wearing queen loves her fairytale vibes!
But before we dive headfirst into the frills and fun of my Ashton adventures, a little news from your favourite pink-obsessed queen! I know, I know, you're all desperate to hear how the fabulous fundraising challenge to "get everyone in a tutu" is going. Well, darling, I've got a brand new secret to share: I've officially sold a tutu to a horse! I'll give you a moment to process that bombshell! A horse rocking a pink tutu! Imagine it, my dears: sleek, shiny coat, proud hooves, and a flowing, fuschia tutu twirling in the breeze. Just fabulous, right? And let's face it, that horse wouldn't be seen in that tutu without me spreading the word! We are spreading that tutu love everywhere, my darlings, even in the stables!
Now, back to Ashton! I arrived by train, naturally - who needs those smelly buses when you can travel in style and admire the passing countryside? Ashton was just perfect - little shops bursting with charm, a real mix of history and modern life, and of course, that delightful touch of whimsy. Did I mention there was a tea room called "The Enchanted Garden?" Oh my, the teapot was shaped like a swan! You should have seen the delicate floral patterns, fit for a queen! I could have spent hours in there sipping Earl Grey and devouring lemon drizzle cake! But, darling, you know me - my itinerary is a delicate dance of sequins and sequins!
I decided to explore Ashton like a true queen – on a horse, of course! I found the most beautiful stables a stone’s throw from the town centre and let me tell you it was divine. You should have seen the horses' shiny coats, each one a different shade of chestnut and brown, prancing under the golden afternoon sun. It was like a scene from a romantic period film - I almost expected a dashing duke to emerge and sweep me off my feet! Thankfully, my trusty pink tutu stayed firmly in place throughout the experience! And as I gracefully trotted through the park on horseback, I realised just how wonderfully "tutu-fied" Ashton truly is. Even the horses seem to love a good twirl!
Later that evening, I headed for a fantastic open mic night at "The Music Room" - an adorable little place with exposed brickwork, low-lit booths and even a stage. It felt intimate, yet vibrant, a place where performers could showcase their talents and everyone could come together for a shared love of music. I managed to charm my way onto the stage, of course! I couldn't possibly visit Ashton without adding a touch of my own unique "sparkles" to the evening. So, what did this queen do? I performed my signature routine! Twirling my pink tutu under the spotlight, I felt right at home on that stage. The audience was fantastic – their smiles were contagious, their clapping so warm.
Now, as much as I love performing for everyone, my true passion is inspiring everyone to live their own fabulous life – like me, rocking a pink tutu with pride.
