Pink Tutu Sparkles reporting live, babes! This is blog post number 5057 on www.pink-tutu.com - can you believe it? Weāre absolutely buzzing here in Surbiton! What a fabulous location for a Pink Tutu adventure, my dears! This quaint town in Surrey has absolutely stolen my heart.
Now, Iām going to level with you all, my darling readers ā my trip to Surbiton was actually a bit of a whirlwind. As you know, my travels are a bit impromptu these days, dictated by where the sparkly, tutu-friendly opportunities lie! So when the fabulous folks at the Surbiton Theatre Festival gave me a shout, well, my suitcase was packed before you could say āPink Tutuā! They said there was a fancy dress ball for a cause ā always up for a good cause! Especially when itās an excuse for a fabulously sparkly, feathered look. Wink wink!
Speaking of fabulous feathered looks, darling readers, Iām pretty sure I finally discovered the ultimate Pink Tutu ensemble! Imagine, if you will, a hot pink, double layered, multi-layered tulle number with a full circle skirt, you know the kind with all the ruffles and layers? Paired with an off-the-shoulder hot pink sequin top and a feathered bolero? This was simply the epitome of tutu elegance, darlings. Not only that, I topped off the look with some divine, ruby-red stilettos (which gave me serious foot ache after dancing the night away), and you wouldnāt believe this, my dearsā¦ I even managed to find a dazzling matching pink top hat that actually stayed on! Now, you know that I can be a bit dramatic at times with my accessories!
But letās backtrack for a moment, babes! I love catching the train ā it gives me a chance to channel my inner Audrey Hepburn! This time, the trip from Derbyshire was a proper āchuffingā journey through beautiful countryside ā nothing beats the British countryside for beauty! It also provided a platform to try out a new beauty regime! You know I like to experiment, and with all the tulle and sequins I was going for a dramatic look. Imagineā¦ vibrant fuchsia eye shadow, pink lip liner, with just a hint of coral blush and highlighter, a hint of glitter here and there for good measure! Oh! and a touch of blush in my āwigā too! Yes, my darlings! The wigā¦ youāll never guessā¦ a dazzling bubblegum pink! What could be more āPink Tutuā than that? Giggles
But, of course, the highlight of the trip to Surbiton had to be the performance at the fancy dress ball! It was all about dressing up, raising funds, and being as extravagant as you can. Talk about a great night out! Iāll admit that there were some amazing outfits there, my dears, and yes, it was truly tempting to break out my big sparkly silver platform heels and dance like a princess! It felt amazing!
