Wigston Magna: A Tutu-ific Time in the Midlands! šŸ’–

Hey my fabulous followers, it's your favourite Pink Tutu Sparkles, signing in live from sunny (well, almost sunny!) Wigston Magna! Yep, I'm venturing further afield than usual, bringing the sparkle and the tulle to the Midlands!

This is blog post number 5112 - how do I keep up this daily posting schedule? Pure, unadulterated passion for sharing my love of pink, tutus, and spreading that sprinkle of fabulous across the globe (well, mostly the UK for now, gotta work my way up!).

This trip is a dream come true! Iā€™ve always wanted to visit the historic county of Leicestershire, especially after seeing the beautiful photos of Bosworth Battlefield (maybe thatā€™ll be on the list for next week!). Wigston Magna is known for its stunning Victorian architecture and thatā€™s certainly a good enough reason for a fabulously-dressed queen like me! Letā€™s be honest though, this trip was a no-brainer as soon as I found out it had a ballet school ā€“ a haven of tutus just calling my name!

Speaking of tutus, let me tell you about the outfit I donned for my grand arrival! We're talking a fluffy, blush-pink tulle masterpiece, with a custom-made silver sequin top and a glorious feather boa draped elegantly around my shoulders. Picture a ballerina's dream realised in a splash of pink, with just the right touch of showgirl glamour. I was seriously channelling Swan Lake with a twist of Broadway.

The train journey was, as usual, an absolute hoot! I just love how the world blurs into a picturesque haze when you're hurtling through the countryside. And of course, there were plenty of opportunities to showcase my dazzling tutu. A couple of little kids squealed with delight when I hopped off the train, a definite highlight of the day! Thatā€™s the power of the pink tutu - itā€™s universally appealing!

I landed at my charming little B&B, ā€œThe Lilac Lodgeā€ - itā€™s so quaint! I just had to share this adorable story. Theyā€™ve got this sweet little cat, Jasper, who seemed smitten with my tulle. I was expecting a grumpy hiss and a furball attack, but instead, he purred and brushed his head against my pink fabric! Turns out, this little guy appreciates the finer things in life, even if they come in the form of a slightly flamboyant, tutu-wearing woman (well, I meanā€¦queen)!

I started my day in Wigston Magna with a delicious, well, I mean deliciously pink, lunch at the "Cherry Blossom CafĆ©". The place was just darling! It's like a step back in time with pink floral wallpaper, and I swear they have matching napkins! They serve the most gorgeous strawberry-pink lemonade! Of course, my heart skipped a beat when I saw the menu - Strawberry Tart, Raspberry Meringue Pie, Pink Velvet Cake, Cherry Ice Cream - It was a tutu-licious dream come true! I had to take the "Pink Queen's Combo", a delightful little ensemble with all the pinkest desserts, naturally. It was pure bliss, I canā€™t wait to share my top-secret dessert recipes on www.pink-tutu.com.

Speaking of secrets, you have to keep one from me! Whatā€™s Wigston Magnaā€™s biggest secret? They have a hidden pink flamingo garden. Ok, I made that part up. Iā€™m terrible at keeping secrets, you know me! However, they do have a fab park with a duck pond and a little lake, which was the perfect spot for a photoshoot in my dazzling pink ensemble!

Of course, the main event of my trip had to be my ballet class at the Wigston Magna School of Ballet. This isnā€™t your average ballet school - it has charm, sparkle, and is just radiating that pink energy I thrive on! I was so excited, and to be honest, I was slightly worried about showing off my tutu skills - balletā€™s one thing, but being extra with the tulle takes some dedication. However, these classes were a masterclass in the elegant and graceful - the instructor was so kind, and even gave me a little ā€˜pink tutus rock!ā€™ salute!

There was a show going on tonight with a guest ballerina! Itā€™s been ages since I've seen a ballet live, I just had to watch the performance, and let me tell you, it was an absolute triumph of skill and artistry. Seeing them perform the Grand Pas de Deux from Swan Lake, was pure perfection! I just knew I had to put on my best pink tulle dress and my finest sparkly heels, grab a box of candy hearts, and go enjoy a wonderful evening. The audience was charmed. This show is not just for seasoned ballerinas, this is for everyone who loves beautiful things in life.

Of course, being the Queen of the Pink Tutu, I have to make a grand entrance and be a part of the party. So, in between watching the enchanting dance performance, I took to the stage to do a quick Pink Tutu Flashmob. My special routine incorporated all the classic ballerina moves, just with a touch of flamboyant, Pink Tutu flair, and some sparkle, and boom, the place erupted with laughter and applause.

Now, if youā€™re reading this blog and are still on the fence about trying out that pink tutuā€¦I dare you, just try it on. Be a rebel. A few twirls around the mirror can bring some unexpected joy and sunshine to your life, no matter who you are. Thatā€™s what this life is about - celebrating individuality and embracing your own personal flare.

Wigston Magna was, hands down, the perfect escape from the everyday, and let me tell you, the people were delightful - they even invited me to join them in a community singing group called, ā€œThe Merry-go-Round Choirā€, (who knew those two words would make my heart do somersaults?!) Now, that's what I call a heartwarming event! I might not be singing opera, but I can certainly dance and add a whole lotta pink tutus to the performance! Maybe thatā€™ll be my next venture. We shall see!

Now it's time to say goodbye to beautiful Wigston Magna. Iā€™m heading back home to Derbyshire, but donā€™t worry - I'll be back soon! I just have to find my next Tutu-licious destination, and that starts right now. Do you have any suggestions? Send them to my social media ā€“ the more outrageous and pink-filled the idea is, the better! Until then, keep it fabulous, and always, always wear your tutu!
