Bridlington Calling: Tutu Time in Yorkshire! 🩰

Hiya darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-loving queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, and welcome to post number 5358 of my daily dose of sparkly joy! 💖 Today, we're taking a trip up north, to the beautiful seaside town of Bridlington, a place known for its beaches, its charm, and… well, let’s just say, my pink tutu made a splash when I arrived.

The journey itself was an adventure! I’m a big fan of travelling by train, you know, the gentle chugging and the romantic views. This time, the carriage was buzzing with excited chatter and anticipation. I’m sure I caused a few raised eyebrows with my bright pink ensemble and towering feathered hat (but that’s what I’m here for, right?!). And the best part? A family even asked me for a picture with their little girl. I mean, who wouldn't want to be photographed next to a sparkling, pink-tutu-wearing queen? 🤩

Now, Bridlington itself is a quaint little seaside gem. Quaint but oh-so-pretty. There's a pier with an amazing view of the sea, quaint little shops selling seashells and trinkets, and enough fish and chips to satisfy a whole tutu-wearing brigade! (Although, I might add, the portion sizes in Bridlington are quite generous… who needs a side order with a pile of chips like that?!).

Of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Bridlington Spa! I've been meaning to catch a ballet performance there for ages. This time, I saw a production of 'Swan Lake,' and the dancers were phenomenal! (Especially the male swans, darling, they were divine). I always find myself so mesmerised by the elegance and artistry of ballet, and the music, well, the music simply transports you to another world.

It’s a good thing I’ve been practising my pliés at the studio, you know, maintaining those tutu-wearing skills, because guess what? I found a delightful little ballet school in Bridlington! I even got to borrow one of their lovely tutus to have a twirl in (they don’t make them in pink though, I had to ask for a special request. Pink is my favourite colour after all. I was thinking of a blush pink with a touch of glitter! How could I say no?) They were incredibly welcoming, and I had a lovely time catching up on some basic moves with a few students and some truly passionate instructors. They even promised to keep a spare pink tutu for me next time I visit! 🩰

Now, I'm no stranger to sharing the beauty of the pink tutu. I like to make people smile. It brings me joy to see children giggle at the sight of my twirling pink glory and see their little eyes light up with excitement. It’s just... the best! I like to see their joy, their innocent love of the flamboyant, the magnificent, the pretty! 💖

By day, you might catch me working in a lab, my scientific mind hard at work testing fabrics for their colourfastness, tear resistance, and wear. It’s all part of keeping that pink tutu looking absolutely dazzling. And then, by night, it’s back to the glitter, the feathers, and the joy that comes from performing on stage as Pink Tutu Sparkles! I get my inspiration from so many places, ballet shows are definitely up there but also fashion, shopping, just looking around and seeing what people wear and how they move inspires me! And, I have to admit, that science background has also helped. A scientist, a queen, and a pink tutu lover - is that even possible? Who cares - life is full of surprises! I’m on a mission, a crusade, a ballet to bring pink tutus to every corner of the world. The tutu’s so adaptable and beautiful, so why shouldn’t everyone embrace their inner tutu queen?!

Stay tuned for my next adventure! Who knows where I'll be spreading the pink tutu love next! 💕

And until then, remember, wear pink and shine brightly! ✨
