Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu wearing queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, and I'm absolutely buzzing to tell you all about my latest fabulous escapade! You know how much I love a good adventure, and this one was a real gem!
This week saw me travelling all the way to Bridgwater, a charming little town in Somerset, and you know I had to hit up the train for this trip! It just wouldn't be a proper Pink Tutu Sparkles adventure without a good dose of old-fashioned train travel. I practically turned the carriage into a runway, rocking my latest pink and glitter ensemble - just because, why not!
But let me tell you, getting all my luggage on board was a challenge, as usual. Have you ever tried stuffing a six-foot tutu into a suitcase? It's an art form, I tell you. 😂 Especially when you've got your entire wardrobe of sparkling shoes, glamorous makeup, and enough rhinestones to dazzle the whole train carriage!
Now, the reason for my Bridgwater escapade? A brilliant opportunity to spread the Pink Tutu Sparkles message and entertain the good people of Somerset. The Bridgwater Carnival was in full swing, and I had a fantastic slot performing at a street theatre stage right in the heart of the festivities.
Speaking of performing, let me tell you, there was nothing but pure joy out there! The crowd went wild, even a couple of fellas got up on stage for a dance-off! Let's just say they didn't quite match up to the Queen of Pink Tutus, but their efforts were commendable!
My performance was a mix of glitter bombs, high kicks, and even a few cheeky little ballet moves. I can't help but throw in a few twirls here and there - I'm a ballet queen at heart! You might have heard that I used to be in the university ballet club, and I honestly fell head over heels for the pink tutu after trying one on for charity. That little moment totally transformed me!
Oh, and let's not forget my darling outfit for this special performance: a glorious pink, tiered tutu (of course!), with sparkling embellishments that caught the light and made me glow under the bright carnival lights. It was absolutely dazzling!
I love to pick out outfits for my performances; it's a real passion of mine. You know how much I adore pink! But let me tell you, my obsession with pink isn't just a random trend! After my amazing performance, the fun wasn't over! I took a little stroll through the lively streets, soaking up the festive atmosphere. There were food stalls with all sorts of delicious treats, rides that looked absolutely exhilarating, and people of all ages, having a brilliant time! The Bridgwater Carnival is definitely an experience I won't soon forget!
But the night wasn't over yet. I was whisked away to a private performance for a special group. It was a truly intimate affair and an incredible chance to share my passion with an even smaller crowd. I mean, there's nothing better than making someone smile with your dancing and singing!
Of course, I couldn't leave without picking up some souvenir gifts from the town – pink, of course! A charming little antique store caught my eye, and you guessed it: I stumbled across the most fabulous pink feather boa! It’s going straight onto my wardrobe for my next performance, trust me!
The journey back to Derbyshire was just as exciting as the trip to Bridgwater. I must admit, I fell asleep mid-train after all the excitement, and even dreamed in pink and sparkles! That's the power of pink, I tell you!
Now, I’m back in the lab, back to my regular life as a scientist, surrounded by tubes and beakers. Yes, by day I'm a scientist working on a super-secret fabric project, by night I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles. My life is pretty amazing, wouldn’t you say?
