Bristol, darling! 💖

Well hello there, dearies! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back for another instalment of my fabulous daily blog, right here on www.pink-tutu.com - post number 5682, if you can believe it! It's so lovely to be back with you all and to chat about what's going on in my fabulous life, right now, as I type this, with my pink glittery laptop on a train carriage, rushing through the British countryside. This time, I'm heading down to Bristol for a bit of a whirl!

Now, Bristol is a truly special place to me. It's got that real history, you know, and it's bursting with character, with all the cobbled streets and independent shops, and the brilliant theatre scene. I absolutely adore a bit of theatre and if I can catch a performance while I'm in a new town I just have to - and a good old fashioned ballet is always a delight, as you know!

This whole trip came about in the most random of ways. I was scouring my favourite pink websites (oh yes, you already know my passion for the colour! 😉), when I saw a post for a Drag Showcase, held right in the heart of Bristol! It sounded absolutely brilliant, all sorts of exciting acts performing, and a massive opportunity for me to show everyone what Pink Tutu Sparkles is all about. The organisers even had me on the front page of their event posters, dressed in my most magnificent pink tutu with glitter everywhere! Talk about exciting, darling!

Anyway, to get to this fabulous event, I chose a little travel adventure - what else! No flying for me, it's always trains and horse-drawn carriages for Pink Tutu Sparkles, don't you know? Well, actually this time it's only a train journey, but I'm sure I can convince a lovely horse owner in Bristol to give me a ride in a carriage when I arrive, don't you think? You see, even if a simple, stylish travel to and from Bristol is a treat for me, I still have to find an adventure in it. I like to take my fans with me on my journey. It's just not possible to be an everyday girl with all that's happening to me. I do what makes me happy, that’s what’s important to me. That’s why I love my Pink Tutu blog - because you’re all coming along with me!

As for my outfit for Bristol... Oh my, darlings, this one's a real stunner! I've got my pinkest of pink tutus, and I'm thinking of adding some feathery bits to it for some added sparkle and glamour, perhaps in shades of rose gold and silver. And, of course, no outfit is complete without some serious glitz. This time, I'm going for some mega chunky diamond-style bracelets. They'll clash perfectly with the sparkles on the tutu and it's bound to get some looks!

Of course, the outfit isn't everything. A bit of hair and make-up prep goes a long way, especially for my act. But who knows, maybe I'll even find time for a trip to a proper ballet shop, maybe I'll get a little something sparkly for the hair or just to take home for inspiration for my next look...

Now you’re wondering about the science, the daytime job, what else, right? You love all the drama, I’m getting the feeling. Let me just say, it's not easy juggling the lab and the life of a glamorous drag artist, but, like most of us, you have to try hard. I feel like this science stuff will come in handy as well. If you’ve read my blog for a long time you already know my science background makes me perfect to try out new fabrics and new sparkle colours. That’s actually where my love for Pink Tutus comes from, the lab… Oh yes, I just knew it when my uni ballot club had a charity event. It was time to put on some fancy dress, and it just seemed to happen like that… like a magical moment... When I stepped in front of that mirror in my Pink Tutu … the best outfit ever! So if you get tired of sequins and feathers, maybe try something else: put on a tutu!

For example, this pink fabric, a new batch I tested at work today. I’m so excited, I am planning a pink, satin, sequined fabric show and then I will show this beauty to everyone. Maybe even design the dress myself? My science work can be so helpful, as long as you think Pink! 💖

Before I jump off this train and off to the show, I just want to thank you all so much for following along with my adventures, for all your amazing comments, and for supporting me. I really appreciate every single one of you! And don’t forget to check in tomorrow, you can never miss the latest updates and adventures on Pink-tutu.com! So many more journeys to share with you, and many more fabulous moments to create!

Until next time, keep sparkling!

Your Pink Tutu Sparkles.

💋💖
