Hiya darlings! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, and you've just found my blog! (Well, you're probably back again, this is post number 5932!) Welcome back to all of you and if you're new, welcome, welcome! Let's get on with today's adventure.
Oh, my sweet little cherubs, you are NOT going to believe this. Today is my first-ever trip to Hindley! Now, you see, my love of the beautiful town of Hindley dates back...oh well, to be truthful, my love affair with Hindley has a fairly new start. I’m obsessed with learning new places and the whole ballet world, so every week I plan to travel to a new town that either boasts a wonderful ballet company or ballet studio - you know, I've got to keep it real with my little angels!
Hindley, here I come! This time, my love of tutus has taken me on a train ride – it really was like being in a musical, my fellow pink-tutu fanatics, the train carriage had its own magical energy.
The thing about trains, is that I never seem to have quite the right time to put my makeup on. Now, I'm all about that pink eye shadow - don't be thinking of anything understated here, darling, I need that colour, but today I found it easier to just have fun with the whole 'I woke up like this' vibe! That pink-tutu princess energy! I'll take the time to show you my hair later – a little 'half up and down', as it’s been labelled.
Ok, so I arrived in Hindley – oh honey! I saw some people dressed up. Honestly! Now I don't normally make such a big fuss about this, but I felt this incredible wave of excitement because I’m not the only one who thinks tutus are divine! We all love a tutu in some way, let’s be honest! Even if it’s just those twirling girls who seem to flit around the supermarket. The good old fairies who look so free. So good. I think I should bring in a segment of ‘spotted tutu’ - who knows! I could even make a ‘Pink Tutu Sparkles Top 10 Tutu Spotted!’
Anyway! We're on to something important – Hindley. Oh my god, it has a little tea shop, which of course, is exactly the place to pop in! After that (of course! I just can't resist! ), I’ve been to this ballet class. It's just such a pleasure. You know I love being a performer - what else would you expect from Pink Tutu Sparkles? – But the joy of a proper, classic ballet class has been missed for so long! It's about technique - even if it doesn’t involve performing. Ballet class isn’t just about making an audience roar with applause, although I think some teachers, the really fierce ones (love a fierce teacher!), do expect a level of audience applause.
After the class, we decided that Hindley should definitely be given the Pink Tutu Sparkles’ stamp of approval. We need more of that tutued bliss. Why can’t more of us live like Pink Tutu Sparkles?! Think of the good we could all do for the world with just a little extra sparkle? It would surely improve everything, wouldn’t it? You’re thinking the same as me, darling. You don’t need to say a word – your eyes speak volumes! We know.
So there we are! Another one added to the pink-tutu map! It's just been a dream. I've got to confess, it feels a bit lonely traveling as a solo performer, which is why I'm so excited to get back to Derbyshire where we are getting ready for the Derby Flower and Vintage Festival - this will involve all the Pink Tutu Sparkles’ glam-squad and you know that means it’s a performance you just cannot miss! We’ll be right there!
But it’s going to be such a great feeling to be back on that stage, because darling - there's nothing quite like the energy of a live show. And don’t forget my lovelies, my next trip is going to be a very, very special trip – I can’t say where I'm going (you’ll just have to wait to find out!) but this trip is going to involve some wonderful new pink tutus, which, I know, are going to make an unforgettable appearance. I am simply bursting with excitement to put together the costume - but as a drag artist, my love for the whole stage-look experience, it doesn’t start with a tutu - even though the tutu is the essential starting point - that would just be a little crazy, wouldn’t it? - No darling, we all need that beautiful makeup to pull the whole look together.
