Kingswood: Post 6362 - Pink Tutu Sparkles' Travels!

Hello darling! Pink Tutu Sparkles here, reporting live from Kingswood, a lovely little town nestled right in the heart of ... well, it might not be a big town, but it's absolutely brimming with charm, and the pinkest kind of energy, you betcha! This is my 6362nd post and I'm so excited to share this week's adventures. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of glitz, glamour, and – of course – plenty of pink!

This time, I got to Kingswood via the most glamorous means of transportation - the train! Travelling by train has this magical quality that's just so captivating. It allows me to sit back, gaze out of the window and lose myself in the changing landscape while I catch up on all the latest magazines. There's a little something romantic about watching the countryside roll past dressed in my dazzling sequin gown and a fabulous feather boa. Who says you can't dress up to go on a day trip? After all, the journey is part of the fun, especially when you've got a show to do!

My performance at the Kingswood Folk Festival was a dream come true! I can’t believe it’s my job to spread a little sparkle everywhere I go – it’s like wearing a giant, fluffy, pink unicorn costume and being paid to do it! A sea of happy faces in the audience, each of them wearing their very own pink tutus - the vision is simply magical! And that’s the thing, right? Everyone, EVERYONE, should get to feel like they are wearing a sparkly tutu - the kind that fills you with pure joy.

After the performance, it was time to explore the vibrant atmosphere of the festival. I had the chance to see some brilliant crafts - beautifully- crafted pottery and wood carvings – all with touches of pink you wouldn’t believe! The food was fantastic - a delicious array of local treats and of course, some of my favourite pink iced cupcakes! What’s not to love about Kingswood! A festival is a fantastic opportunity to showcase a touch of Pink Tutu Sparkle - the perfect way to get those festival goers thinking about all things pink!

The following day started with a lovely balet class in Kingswood, one of my absolute favorite ways to begin any morning. I'm obsessed with ballet - everything about it is utterly mesmerizing! Imagine my delight - I saw the most adorable little girl, barely two, twirling around in a little pink tutu and tiny pink ballet shoes. She was utterly mesmerised by the class. She danced alongside the bigger girls, completely mesmerised by all the graceful movements.

Later in the day, I went for a little adventure! Horseback riding is a huge passion for me! The crisp Derbyshire air filled my lungs, the wind whispering through the trees - truly glorious! With my bright pink helmet perched on top of my head (I mean, can a queen ride a horse without looking fabulous, right? ) I headed out into the rolling hills with the biggest grin on my face.

When the sun set on Kingswood, I took the opportunity to admire the beautiful sunset from the charming Kingswood Park. As the sun painted the sky in a riot of oranges and reds, I was surrounded by laughter, a buzzing cafe with the aroma of freshly baked goods filling the air and happy families enjoying a perfect summer’s evening.

And then, the stars came out! Kingswood, like most towns, is bathed in light pollution from its street lamps, but there were so many stars to be seen! They twinkled above me as I strolled down the town’s pretty high street with its independent boutiques filled with sparkly trinkets. There’s no shortage of beautiful things in this place, that’s for sure! I always love the chance to stop by the antique stores, with their little hidden treasures – and sometimes I discover a beautiful vintage brooch or a lovely sparkly necklace – perfect for my next drag show, of course!

My travels through the wonderful town of Kingswood remind me once again why I love sharing my passion with everyone - from performing at festivals, to showing off my moves in the ballet studio to galloping through the Derbyshire hills! My pink tutu has taken me on some incredible journeys!

As always, you can see more photos of my adventures and discover where Pink Tutu Sparkles will be traveling to next by following my adventures on my website, www.pink-tutu.com – it's packed with photos and even video of my amazing shows.

Remember, darling - if I can rock a pink tutu, you can too! Spread the sparkle! See you on my next adventure, babes!
