Strood Sparkle: TutuQueen Number 6365!

Hello lovelies, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet! Your girl Pink Tutu Sparkles here, back with another fabulous blog post! Today we’re whisking you away to Strood, a charming town in Kent where I just had the most spectacular time. Remember me telling you all about the absolutely fabulous pink tutu that I’d snagged for a song in an online auction? Well, let me tell you, it was the perfect choice for a Strood outing!

As a true TutuQueen, I'm always on the hunt for adventures. And travelling by train is a total delight. I adore watching the English countryside fly past, especially with a good audiobook and a delicious pink cupcake to munch on. Oh, did I tell you about this fab new cupcake bakery in the station? The pink velvet cake is divine - I practically licked the plate!

My trip to Strood started with a quick visit to the iconic Strood Clock Tower. It’s a real statement piece, wouldn't you agree? After snapping some fabulous pictures, I treated myself to a delicious cup of afternoon tea. There's just something about the whole afternoon tea experience that makes me feel so royal - and you know, when you're a TutuQueen, a little bit of regal is never out of place!

Strood is known for its charming historical pubs. And darling, you just know I had to pay a visit! After all, what's a pink tutu queen without a proper pub pint? I had a delightful pint of local ale while sipping it with the most glamorous bunch of locals! It’s all about mingling, isn’t it? Spreading the joy of tutus, and that fabulously feminine sparkle!

And now, hold onto your bonnets! For my evening entertainment, Strood offered an incredible performance of ballet. Now, darling, you know my heart is a huge fan of ballet, I just adore it. It was absolutely exquisite! There were elegant pirouettes, powerful leaps, and stunningly choreographed scenes. The story the dancers told with their movements was breathtaking. My toes were absolutely tapping, even before I had the chance to get my glitter heels on!

As a fellow performer, I just adore watching ballet - it's a total source of inspiration. It takes a lot of discipline and artistry, something I try to embody in my own performances! The joy and colour that the ballet conveyed inspired me to design a new routine! My upcoming performance is going to have a sprinkle of tutus and a touch of classic ballerina moves! And maybe a bit of Strood charm, you never know!

Now, don't get me wrong. I had a whole lot of fun in Strood, but the journey there was also absolutely fabulous. Did I mention I travelled on a train? With the sunshine streaming through the windows and the picturesque landscape rushing past, the ride felt more like a dream. It really got my creative juices flowing, darling! Just watching the changing scenery was inspiration enough to work on a new piece for my next drag show - the movement, the colour, the feeling. My travels are always so incredibly inspiring.

Let me share a little bit of backstage gossip with you all - did you know I’m actually a science whiz? It's a total secret but my day job involves fabric testing. Seriously, who would have thought a tutu queen could have such a scientific background! But, truth be told, even testing fabric for strength and resilience has an element of art to it. My job requires attention to detail, just like perfecting the placement of sequins on a pink tutu!

Well, my darlings, this is where I bid you adieu. But remember - every day is a day to embrace your sparkle and your feminine power. So put on your favourite pink tutu, go out there, and make the world a more fabulous place! And if you find yourself in Strood, be sure to drop in for a pint and a good chat!

Yours in pink tulle,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
