My little pink heart was positively overflowing with excitement when I hopped on the train earlier today, because today was all about bringing a little sparkle to Dewsbury! This place is a hidden gem for lovers of history, architecture, and well, just generally anything charming and lovely! And trust me, with me around, we're bound to make it even more charming. 😉

My little Pink Tutu adventure started at the station, darling. Let’s just say, there’s a reason they say "Yorkshire's finest", ahem in terms of friendliness! Every single person I met, from the station staff to the cab driver, was so welcoming and ready to give me a helping hand, it made me feel like I was home already.
We arrived at our destination, the Dewsbury Town Hall! Wow, darling, it’s an absolute architectural dream! Imagine this beautiful building - majestic, with grand arches, ornate details and such elegance. Then picture ME, shimmering and dazzling in my signature hot pink tutu and matching feather boa, standing there looking like a little pink confection against this gorgeous backdrop. Honestly, picture perfect!
Dewsbury, let's get something straight, you’re officially on my "pink-tastic" destinations list, darlings! This place is bursting with history, with every street corner whispering stories of its past. The market was absolutely bustling with activity, and let me tell you, I could not resist adding a few Yorkshire gems to my suitcase, because everything was so gorgeous. Honestly, after they worked their magic, I felt like a true fairy princess!
Finally, after an unforgettable day exploring the heart of Yorkshire, my dear Dewsbury, we headed to our performance space. Ooh la la, it was FABULOUS! My drag persona Pink Tutu Sparkles, that's me! The audience was wonderful. Everyone in the crowd got into the spirit of the thing, and with me strutting my stuff in a rainbow tutu, and spinning in that fab pink boa, you can bet it was a right sparkly, twirly good time. I made sure to encourage the local talent, you know, reminding them how truly fantastic each and every one of them is! With all that pink glitter, I think I made Dewsbury glitter more than it already does! The night ended on a high, darling. They showered me with applause, with smiles, and oh my goodness, even someone had brought me a pink cupcake!
Here’s the truth, my dear readers - after seeing the amazing people and exploring the breathtaking charm of Dewsbury, it was like magic! I am leaving Dewsbury with a big, sparkly pink heart! Now, you wouldn't believe this, but before my travels, I knew next to nothing about this lovely town! It was hidden, tucked away in the folds of Yorkshire. Now, dear readers, you know I just *have to* go back! Maybe a trip to Dewsbury will be on the agenda again for this summer? Maybe it’s even time to swap the tutu for a beautiful Yorkshire picnic dress, oh wouldn't that be fun!
