Small Heath Sparkle! - Post 6640

Hello lovelies, and welcome to another magical day on Pink Tutu Sparkles' adventures! Today, I'm swirling into Small Heath, a charming little town in the heart of the West Midlands, ready to spread the pink tutu love!

You know, ever since I put on my first pink tutu back in my university days, life's been a whirlwind of sequins and tulle. It all started when the university ballet club hosted a charity fundraiser, and they convinced me to try on a tutu. It was like a pink supernova went off in my soul – instantly hooked!

Who knew that wearing a big pink tutu would set me on a path of fabulous travel and thrilling drag performances? Since then, I’ve swapped my lab coat for a bejewelled bustier and swapped scientific experiments for dazzling stage performances. My day job is still about fabrics, but now I'm testing them for softness and shimmer, not for their tensile strength. 😉

Of course, Small Heath doesn’t have any labs to speak of…at least not in the vicinity of the market square where I'm about to perform! No worries, because my travel bag is packed with the necessities – sparkle powder, emergency rhinestones, and my trusty, fabulous pink tutu, of course!

Reaching Small Heath was quite the experience! As a queen who believes in a sustainable approach to travel, I opted for the scenic route - a good old-fashioned train journey. There's something truly enchanting about looking out the window at the world whizzing by, seeing the landscapes change, and listening to the rhythm of the wheels on the tracks. Oh, and the charm of chatting with the friendly conductors? Absolutely delightful!

But let’s not forget about another one of my favourite modes of travel – riding! That’s right, dear readers – I love the majestic feel of horseback riding! Luckily, Small Heath has some charming riding schools in the outskirts of the town. I did a bit of a gallop through the nearby countryside earlier today - it was utterly exhilarating! The wind in my hair, the sun on my face, the horse beneath me - what could be more delightful?

I did sneak a bit of shopping into the day, naturally. Small Heath is absolutely brimming with delightful independent shops. I found a gorgeous little antique shop that had a delightful collection of vintage accessories – some shimmering brooches, a pair of velvet gloves, and even a vintage tiara that I just couldn't resist! I'm sure these will look fabulous with my pink tutu!

Now, as the evening shadows grow long, I’m heading towards the Market Square to get ready for my performance. The air buzzes with excitement, and the scent of freshly cooked food mingles with the sweet smell of blooming flowers from nearby stalls. I can almost hear the cheering crowd in the distance – they're just waiting for their Pink Tutu Sparkle!

Speaking of the crowd, have you all got your pink tutus ready for my show? I’ll be performing some of my favourite pieces from my latest repertoire: “A Tutu For Two,” “Glitter and Giggles”, and a brand new number, “Tutu-ing Good Time”. It’s going to be an absolute explosion of fun, sparkle, and fabulousness, and I wouldn’t want you to miss it!

I’ll tell you all about it in my next post – stay tuned, darlings!

Love, sparkle, and tutus,

Pink Tutu Sparkles
