Hey darlings! It's your favourite pink tutu wearing princess, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, and guess what? We're venturing north! That's right, the pink tutu has arrived in Carlisle, and believe me, it's looking fabulous.

But for now, let me tell you about this gorgeous trip. It's always exciting setting off for a new town. For me, travelling is almost always done on rails or hooves, you see, I have a thing for romantic travel! Nothing beats a scenic train journey or the wind in my hair, galloping towards a new adventure. Luckily, both methods are pretty good for getting you across the countryside, which is why, my darlings, I was whisked away to the heart of Cumbria in a vintage train carriage.
Imagine this: plush velvet seats, the aroma of fresh-brewed tea, the gentle sway of the carriage, and the glorious English countryside gliding past. The train trip, my darlings, was like something out of a classic film. But of course, no journey is complete without a bit of pink sparkle, right? Let's be honest, I'd have been out of place without a fabulous hat, a blush pink handbag and the ever-essential pink tutu, because you just can't go anywhere without a sprinkle of Pink Tutu magic!
Carlisle itself was, of course, divine. A beautiful, historic city with charming cobbled streets and the magnificent Carlisle Castle, which was like stepping into a fairytale! It's hard to say what I liked best about this trip - was it the charming pubs that felt like they were from another era, or the independent shops overflowing with lovely, quirky items? Oh, and the people! Let me tell you, they were just lovely. A friendly bunch, they embraced me with open arms, which always makes me feel right at home.
Now, I didn't just come to Carlisle to explore and sip tea, darling. Oh no, Pink Tutu Sparkles had a show to perform! The Carlisle Corn Exchange was just the spot for me. This stunning Victorian building with its breathtaking stained glass ceiling made the perfect setting for a night of glitz, glamour and, yes, lots of pink!
The audience was sensational, so enthusiastic and lively, they loved the show and so did I! As for my look, I opted for a pastel pink tutu, complete with feathers and a touch of iridescent sequins - because every performance needs that bit of sparkle. My top, a sweetheart bodice shimmering with rose-gold sequins, matched perfectly with a matching set of long gloves. My makeup was on point, my curls bouncy and perfect, and oh, my darling, my eyebrows? They were fabulous.
The whole atmosphere was electric! It truly made my heart sing to bring some joy to Carlisle. Afterwards, there was the opportunity to meet some of the fabulous audience, chat, laugh and maybe even offer a little advice on getting the perfect pink tutu. You see, that's what I'm about, darling, bringing a little magic to everyone’s life! And if it's wrapped up in a delightful pink tutu, all the better.
The day after my performance, I managed to fit in a bit of ballet at the Carlisle Performing Arts Centre, because this little pink tutu simply adores the dance. I love the flow, the grace, the artistry - the entire spectacle is beautiful and the tutus are divine. Of course, after the lesson, I spent some time chatting to the talented dancers. After all, it’s always a good idea to network! I even managed to snag a beautiful, custom-made pink tutu that was just too good to leave behind, it’s practically begging me to twirl in it!
This visit to Carlisle wasn’t just about performance or shopping. There's a very important reason for this little pink tutu’s love of travelling - it’s about spreading the pink love! I want to get the world wearing tutus and that’s going to take me to every corner of this glorious globe!
That's right, my darlings. My goal, my mission, my burning passion is to spread the love for pink tutus across the whole planet! Who doesn't love a bit of tulle? And if the perfect occasion to rock a pink tutu comes in the form of a historic fair or festival, why not make a trip out of it? Because, trust me, a little bit of pink goes a long way!
Now, if you excuse me, I have some very important business to attend to. The pink tutu has been carefully packed and a beautiful, pink horse awaits! It’s time to head back to my day job: the world of fabric and science.
