It's been a whirlwind week, darlings! From dazzling at the Derby Flower Show with my signature ballet-inspired routine to spending a delightful afternoon trying on vintage shoes with a charming chap named Bartholomew, life's been a real-life fairytale! And today, the adventure takes me on a train journey, yes, you heard that right! I adore the rhythm of the tracks and the window views whizzing by. I'm practically singing “Puff the Magic Dragon” on the way to Beeston – and believe me, with the way I've been feeling, it’s definitely “Puff” this week!
You see, darlings, it's been a big year for Pink Tutu Sparkles! I've graced stages across the UK, dazzling crowds in my fluffy pink tulle, and this Beeston gig is sure to be a hoot! You've got to come say hello, even if it's just for a moment. I promise, you'll be glad you did!
This tour, however, isn't all about the fabulous shows (although those are definitely a highlight!). It’s about soaking up the local flavour, trying out the best cake shops, finding unique treasures at charming little shops, and getting to know the people, the life, the magic of each new place!
But before we get to Beeston's beauty, let's rewind a bit… remember my story, darlings? I'm Alex, a Derbyshire lad who swapped the world of labs for the world of glitter and sparkle. A true testament to the fact that, at our core, we're all made for magic! Studying science and spending days in a lab? Sounds boring, doesn't it? But imagine my delight when a friend dragged me to a ballet performance for their uni club! It was my first real foray into the world of dance. You see, all those twirling moments watching my little sister in ballet classes as a kid - all of that suddenly came back to me, bubbling with joy! That very night, I tried on a pink tutu, the kind they use in those charity shows, you know? From that moment on, everything changed! I realised my true passion – not to just wear a tutu but to wear a pink tutu!
And that, my darlings, is where the journey started. That one night sparked something within me, leading me to trade my lab coat for a bejewelled corset, transforming me into the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles.
Now, about Beeston... I've been looking forward to this performance all week! They say Beeston's full of amazing street performers, artists, and vibrant community spaces – right up my alley! And rumour has it, there's a fantastic tea shop with delectable cake and a touch of vintage flair! It's a perfect recipe for a dazzling day for Pink Tutu Sparkles! I’ve heard the local people love to have fun and dress up too! If it's as fabulous as it sounds, it will be a proper pink-tastic day!
My act will have you laughing, twirling, and wishing you could wear a pink tutu! Don’t worry, darling, if you're shy about a whole tutu look, there are plenty of fun ways to incorporate pink into your look, or perhaps just some cute hair bows. After all, spreading the joy of pink is what this is all about, and there's no wrong way to do it!
For Beeston, I’ve got something really special in store – a medley of classic ballet pieces, reworked with my own quirky, sparkly twist! I'm incorporating everything from swan lake to that one scene from "The Nutcracker" everyone loves! It'll be an explosion of pink, glitter, and maybe even a touch of fancy footwork, who knows!
