Hello my darling Tutu-licious friends! 💖✨ It’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, here, and guess what? I'm back with another sparkling adventure to share with you! This time, I'm taking you on a journey to the stunning seaside town of Whitley Bay.
From Derbyshire to the North East Coast:
I've been so excited to get to Whitley Bay, ever since I booked my train journey. There's just something about travelling by train that fills me with a giddy anticipation. I always dress up for the journey, naturally! My favourite outfit for the train this time was my bright pink gingham dress with matching pink pom-pom trim and a dazzling pair of glittery pink platforms. As the train clattered along, I found myself dreaming of all the delightful seaside adventures I’d soon be having.
Whitley Bay's Enchanting Pier:
The moment I stepped out of the train station in Whitley Bay, I was instantly captivated by the charming atmosphere. I couldn't resist striking a pose in my sparkly tutu and platform shoes while the waves crashed against the shore behind me!
Then it was off to the pier! The Whitley Bay Pier is truly a masterpiece of Victorian engineering, so it’s no wonder I was so inspired by its grandeur. Imagine this – sparkling seas, fresh salty air, beautiful architecture, and me, in my pink tutu, feeling completely at home amidst it all! I felt like I'd stepped right out of a beautiful fairytale, and that’s exactly how I like to feel! I mean, what’s better than a seaside town on the North East Coast with a dramatic pink-tutu-clad queen dancing the afternoon away on a Victorian Pier?!
Pink Tutu Performance on the Promenade
The atmosphere at the promenade was absolutely buzzing with joy, and I couldn't wait to share my infectious energy with everyone. My show on the promenade was pure pink tutu bliss! Imagine, dazzling spotlights reflecting off the North Sea, music pulsating through the air, and me, swirling, twirling, and doing splits in my pink tutu to the cheers of a captivated crowd. I even had a special tribute to the stunning seagulls that graced the promenade, fluttering their wings in appreciation!
Sea-Inspired Ballet Dreams
Oh my dear Tutu-lovers, this wouldn't be a proper Whitley Bay trip without a ballet lesson! I've been obsessed with ballet since I was little and, you know me, my pink tutus go everywhere with me. So it’s no surprise that a visit to the stunning Whitley Bay Dance School was a highlight of my trip. There was something so special about stepping into the studio and feeling that familiar rush of excitement, surrounded by fellow ballet lovers!
And to my delight, the ballet lesson included a fantastic performance inspired by the beauty of the sea, with flowing movements like gentle waves and leaping choreography evoking the soaring spirit of the seabirds. We all felt like graceful ballerinas, floating effortlessly on a stage made of moonlight.
Discovering Treasures in Whitley Bay's Shops
A true Queen needs to find new pink treasures, naturally, and my journey took me to a delightful treasure trove of shops, cafes, and independent boutiques. Oh, my darling, I discovered an array of unique fashion finds! From glittering hair clips and pink satin bags to vintage hats that screamed out to be adorned with a single sparkling pink feather!
Every boutique I visited held something wonderful and unusual - and with that pink Tutu instinct kicking in I came back with an absolute truck load of treasures! Of course, it all came back on the train home - just the same way that the sequins came in... the train is my perfect companion.
