Bromsgrove: Pink Tutu Sparkles Takes on the Midlands!

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad queen, Pink Tutu Sparkles, back with another juicy blog post, numero 7196! Ooh, the magic of numbers, I'm just a girl who loves to count the sequins! And speaking of magic, my dear readers, today's journey took me to the charming town of Bromsgrove, a beautiful spot nestled in the heart of the Midlands.

Now, you all know that my heart beats to the rhythm of sequins and twirls, and my favourite mode of transport is a delightful mix of choo-choo and horsey – trains for long trips and my beloved steed, Twinkle Toes, for adventures close to home. I think a lovely horse carriage would be perfect for the next visit to Bromsgrove, just imagine!

This little trip, though, involved a charming ride on a sturdy train. As usual, I opted for the most fabulous pink tutu (just look at the photos!) and paired it with my favourite cherry blossom-print blouse – a nod to the town’s beautiful blossom-laden parks. Oh, Bromsgrove! You're a total peach, I'm telling you!

Arriving at Bromsgrove station, I was greeted by the warm sun, which, thankfully, played ball with my sequined ensemble. My mission for the day: To grace a delightful fairground festival with my fabulous presence and bring my message of glitter and twirl to the local crowd. Now, you know I'm not one to shy away from a challenge, especially one involving cotton candy and giant inflatable castles!

My drag family joined me, adding an extra splash of sparkle and silliness to the day. Together, we created a truly delightful scene, one that made both the young and young at heart truly grin. I think the kids absolutely adored me! It warms my heart to see the pure joy they have when they see me and my fabulous frocks. They are the true stars, so eager to embrace all the sparkles and joy a queen can offer!

We danced, we sang, we even attempted to twirl the children around in those inflatable castles (a mission only partly accomplished!), and most importantly, we had a fabulous time. It wasn’t all twirling and frolicking though, dear readers! There was even a little performance tucked away in the programme. I chose a piece filled with light-hearted charm - a little nod to my love of ballet, you see? A simple, graceful performance in the middle of the carnival, bringing some art and elegance to the day.

Of course, no journey to a new place would be complete without a little shopping, so I graced the town with my presence, checking out the shops and boutiques. Now, dear readers, you know I love me a good bargain! After a morning of entertainment and a spot of shopping, I returned home, feeling quite chuffed, ready for the week ahead! Bromsgrove, you will remain forever in my pink-tutu-ed heart, my dear!

As the sun set, I had time to reflect on a wonderful day and to appreciate how fortunate I am to do what I love: Bring sparkle, laughter, and a splash of colour into people's lives. Being a drag queen is about embracing yourself fully, about breaking boundaries, about sharing the love and accepting others unconditionally.

Before I go, a little reminder for you lovely people - don’t be afraid to wear your pink tutu. The world needs more sparkle, a dash of whimsy and a whole lot of love! You’ll find me on the web at www.pink-tutu.com, and as always, please follow me on social media - my feed is brimming with glitter and joyful updates from my travels! Until next time, darlings!
