#TutuQueen Takes Westminster! 🩰💖

Hey darlings! 💋 It's your favourite Tutu Queen here, ready to spill the tea on another glorious adventure! This is post number 7756 on my little corner of the internet, www.pink-tutu.com - a digital haven dedicated to all things pink, twirly, and fabulous! ✨

Today, I'm whisking you all away to the grand and historic city of Westminster. Picture it: cobbled streets, majestic buildings, and me, Pink Tutu Sparkles, strutting through it all in a glorious pink tutu, of course!

It's been a while since I graced the capital with my presence. You see, I'm a busy girl. This week I performed in a fundraiser for a local dog shelter (it involved a dog-themed dance routine in a hot pink tutu - it was pawsome!), juggled a science conference where I spoke about the fabric composition of wait for it tutus (nerd alert!), and fitted in a few ballet classes, because a tutu queen needs her practice!

My journey to Westminster started, as it always does, with a bit of pre-show preparation. And what's a drag queen's secret weapon? You guessed it - my fabulous makeup station! After hours of contouring, highlighting, and gluing on those fake lashes, I emerged transformed into Pink Tutu Sparkles, ready to paint the town pink!

Speaking of, my travel attire this time was… well, imagine if a ballet costume and a train had a glamorous lovechild. Picture it: a fluffy pink tulle skirt, sparkling sequins, and a sheer blouse with a matching pink bow. All tucked under my favourite sequined jacket and a stylish little fascinator perched atop my head. Because even travelling in style needs a dash of Tutu Queen magic! ✨

Arriving in Westminster, the air was electric. The iconic Big Ben was looking particularly majestic, almost like it was ready to do a grand jeté across the River Thames. I had a show booked at the The Rose and Crown pub – not exactly the Royal Opera House, but my little pink tutu is at home in every stage. And, my darlings, let me tell you, they knew how to party! I had the whole place swaying and clapping to my sparkly routines – and yes, I even brought out a dazzling pink feather boa to complete the spectacle!

Afterwards, a lovely lady (whose name I swear I wrote down somewhere - ah well!) offered me a carriage ride around the city. We trundled along the riverbank, the moon shining like a spotlight on my fabulous pink tulle. I can't tell you what a thrill it was - imagine me, your Tutu Queen, gracefully riding a carriage around Westminster!

After that incredible ride, I treated myself to some well-deserved retail therapy. (A girl's gotta have some sparkly things to wear for her next show, right?). And by that, I don't just mean tutus. I picked up a little pair of adorable pink ballet shoes with ribbons - they were just calling out to me, practically begging me to twirl around in the mirror! And then… well, I spotted a pink cashmere shawl and a new blush-colored lipstick, and we can't ignore those, can we? My bag (which was already a respectable size, might I add) started to get quite bulky.

The next day was a blur of sightseeing. I took a leisurely stroll around Hyde Park, stopping for a leisurely picnic in the sunshine - oh, to be a graceful ballerina prancing about the green, wasn't that an image?! I popped into the Victoria and Albert museum - which was bursting with colour, patterns, and some seriously spectacular fabric designs - I could barely tear myself away.

I had lunch at a lovely little cafe overlooking the Thames (I did indulge in a little strawberry cheesecake, after all, I had to celebrate that ballet class was totally worth the carbs), and later, visited a local art gallery. While browsing the exhibits, I found myself drawn to the pieces with strong, bold colors. It reminded me of my own little corner of the world – filled with bright, flamboyant shades of pink, turquoise, and all sorts of sparkle. I found myself sketching ideas for my next dance routine – you can expect to see a lot more bright and dramatic moves in my upcoming performances!

Westminster holds a special place in my heart – it's the embodiment of glamour, history, and magic, all rolled into one. And, with its rich theatrical heritage, I knew it was the perfect place to unleash my own Tutu Queen brilliance! The entire experience has filled me with a newfound spark of inspiration. I can already see my next few blog posts - I'll tell you all about my journey, including some fantastically quirky London fashion tips, of course!

For now, my dears, go forth and embrace the world! Twirl like you've never twirled before, and remember, the only thing more beautiful than a tutu, is the joy of wearing one! 💋 💖🩰

And for those of you eagerly anticipating the next #TutuQueen adventure, I have a special treat! Just like those delightful pink tutus that always seem to draw your eyes, I’m making a splash! I have a very exciting announcement… 🥁… drumroll… a Pink Tutu Queen pop-up store! It'll be happening in…well, you'll have to wait and see! Keep those eyes peeled on my website, you won't want to miss it.

Until then, remember, a little pink goes a long way! 😉

Lots of love and sparkle, Your Tutu Queen Pink Tutu Sparkles xx
