Pink Tutu Sparkles is ready to conquer Harrow! (With a touch of pink tulle, of course.)

Well hello darlings, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet, the sparkly-pink wonderland of Pink-Tutu.com! You might already be thinking, "Harrow? Alex, you love your railways but a day trip for this? This sounds like an episode of the Carry On movies." But don’t be fooled by the classic charm, this beautiful borough of northwest London is calling, and this Pink Tutu Queen has heard it loud and clear.

This week is about adventure! There’s something exciting in the air. And no, I’m not just referring to the scent of newly-purchased, high-shine lip gloss. It’s something bigger. It’s… a railway journey, a trip to Harrow, and maybe, just maybe, a brand new sparkly tutu addition to my wardrobe!

Now, I know you’re all dying to hear about my fabulous outfits (trust me, this tutu ensemble will make you want to burst!), but hold on a sec. This journey’s going to take a little time – because Pink Tutu Sparkles wouldn’t be true to herself if she didn’t tell you all about her travel adventures!

Now, I’m no stranger to train journeys. They're part of my soul! A rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels against the tracks is music to my ears. And what’s a better place for the glamorous Pink Tutu Sparkles to plan her next look than a vintage train carriage, filled with the smells of polished wood and distant tea?

I’m taking the trusty old “Tutu Express” today. We’ve been through so much together: whirlwind nights at London’s famous Leicester Square, countryside gigs where we even did a barn dance (much to the delight of the farm animals, I must say), and even that cheeky little tour through the Cotswolds last year, all with this fine carriage by my side!

What to Wear for Train Travel, You Ask?

Now, here’s the real Pink Tutu secret: travelling doesn't mean a complete shift away from sparkle! Don’t let anyone tell you a day in a train carriage isn’t worthy of a tutu. Today I’m channeling my inner princess with a dreamy lavender and baby pink combination. I’m all about pastels today – a flowy satin dress that I snagged at a vintage shop in Chesterfield, a floral embroidered tulle scarf around my neck, and of course, a pale lavender tulle tutu with a hint of lavender sparkle. And don’t worry – my glitter shoes are ready to hit the ground!

Harrow, Here I Come!

As the train journey progresses, Harrow itself becomes my little fantasy land! Every time I get close, I feel like I've stepped straight out of a book, and into one of my own creative outfits. You know what this calls for, right? Cue the pink!, and the newest piece I’ll be modelling: a fluffy, powder-pink tutu with feathery trims – perfect for a day of exploring.

My biggest thrill about this Harrow escapade? A special reason. It’s an event called “A Tutu For Everyone.” Oh darling, the name says it all!

You see, the founder of this joyous day is a delightful fellow tutu-lover named Beatrice, who shares my mission to put a little sparkle in every day, especially when it comes to tutus. And that's a goal I’m totally onboard with! Beatrice runs a charming tea room with a delectable array of treats – she also hosts all sorts of exciting community events with a unique “tutu twist.” It’s all a bit out there, but as the queen of outlandish, I’m all for it!

Today, she’s set up an amazing tutu competition! All ages, all walks of life, invited! (We can’t have a pink tutu day without some serious tulle and feather action, right?) There’s a fancy dress parade, live music, a picnic, and best of all, a raffle for… drumroll please… a pink tutu custom made by yours truly!

Honestly, you have no idea what a drag artist feels when they have the opportunity to create a piece of art, especially a sparkly pink one! You’ve gotta admit: the feeling of whipping up a tutu is pure magic.

From the careful selection of the perfect shade of pink, to the shimmering sequins, the twirling of the tulle layers, the meticulous detailing... it’s like a little creative party for my imagination. My atelier is my safe haven; I find so much calm and confidence amidst the fluff and glitter, surrounded by all the supplies I need to put a tutu together!

But as exciting as it is to make a custom tutu, nothing compares to watching another person step into it and shine! That’s what makes my life, and my life as a performer, worth it. To see the smiles on the faces of everyone who steps into one of my creations is a feeling unlike anything else!

And So It Goes!

Darling, this post has taken us from my heart, to the rhythmic rumble of train tracks, to a full-on day of tulle and community in Harrow. What a journey, right? But remember, there's a whole world of amazing people, stories and experiences waiting just outside the door, and in those stories, there is the magic of a little tulle and some fierce sparkle.
