Hello my darlings! Welcome back to my daily dose of pink, glittery goodness! I'm Pink Tutu Sparkles, your favourite (and maybe only) drag queen obsessed with all things tutu-licious! Today I'm buzzing from a fabulously sparkly journey to Chorley! This is post number 8176, so buckle up and get ready for another whirlwind of tutu-filled fun.
The Pink Express
As a proud Derbyshire lass (yes, even in drag!), I always adore a good train journey. So, off I went, with a suitcase bursting with tulle and feather boas, and a heart full of excitement! I'm pretty sure the other passengers on the Northern Rail service thought I was heading for a fancy dress party – and in a way, they weren't far wrong!
Speaking of feathers and sequins, can we talk about this outfit?! Let’s just say, I embraced the Chorley weather (or at least hoped for sunshine!), sporting my signature pink tutu with a matching ruffled top. You know I can't go anywhere without a pop of pink! To top it all off, I donned a gloriously fluffy, sunshine-yellow feather boa, and a pair of shimmery pink heels that would make even Cinderella envious! (And yes, I definitely did do a twirl or two on the platform!)
Chorley's Enchanted Theatre
My destination was none other than the magnificent Chorley Little Theatre! I’m absolutely enchanted with the architecture of this theatre. They do an amazing job supporting the arts. It was here, beneath the glow of stage lights and the scent of popcorn, that I spread my sparkly magic! Performing at Chorley felt like a fairytale – everyone was so friendly, and the audience was full of pure, infectious joy. They lapped up my bubbly energy, the heartfelt tunes of "Pinky's a Star," and my playful rendition of "Twirling Queen."
My Tutus and You!
Between performances, I popped into a couple of local shops (always gotta find that perfect shade of pink!), chatted with some delightful residents, and, of course, had my obligatory tutu photo-op in the town square. (It’s amazing what a little sparkle can do to brighten someone's day – even on a cloudy afternoon! Even if it does draw a bit of attention.)
