As you all know, this Pink Tutu Sparkles has a bit of a thing for tutus, right? Pink tutus to be precise, and travelling to places where they're appreciated, like ballet performances and, you guessed it, the fabulous town of Herne Bay! I had heard whispers about this lovely seaside town from my fellow tutufied friends in the drag scene. They said it was the perfect place for a bit of seaside charm and, more importantly, a chance to showcase my pink tutu creations. And let me tell you, I wasn’t disappointed!
I journeyed here from Derbyshire on a glorious train journey, nestled amongst my glittering array of costumes (and a cheeky cup of tea). You know I love a train trip - it gives me a chance to sketch out my next tutus or check out the latest pink-hued outfits at the shops! Oh, and a good ol’ game of bingo, why not? Gotta get those bingo wings ready for a twirl! 😜
Now, arriving in Herne Bay felt like stepping into a postcard, just as described by my fellow drag friends. The air was filled with salty sea air, the sun was beaming, and there was a distinct sense of community buzzing about the place. My dear fellow drag queens, there's something absolutely magical about seaside towns - that perfect mix of quirky, quaint, and downright charming. And this place was overflowing with it!
Before heading into town, I decided to do a little wander around the pier, taking in the view and soaking up that beautiful sunshine. I had to grab a snap for the ‘Gram, naturally, standing proud in my new fuchsia-hued feather boa, perched on the pier edge, with a backdrop of azure sky and the sparkling sea. Honestly, I looked like I just stepped out of a musical, if I do say so myself! 💅✨
Now, it’s time for a little retail therapy! Who better than a girl in a pink tutu to know about fabulousness! Herne Bay’s streets were just bursting with charm. Little boutiques with perfectly-dressed shop windows, quaint tea rooms with delicious pastries and, oh my, just endless opportunities to find new pink tutus to add to my collection! This one pink flamingo handbag just called my name – pink is a colour that always catches my eye! I may or may not have tried it on, along with a few other dazzling outfits, for the camera. It was all in the name of blog-worthy fashion, darlings. 😉
It was time to take this Pink Tutu Sparkle to the dance floor and show these wonderful Herne Bay people what a proper Pink Tutu Sparkle night is all about. My favourite club had just the right energy, full of smiles, fun, and people eager for a show. A huge seafront ballroom, all glittery chandeliers and mirrored walls – the perfect space for a night of tutu-rific twirls and pink-tastic entertainment! My performance? Well, let's just say, they weren't ready for my dance moves - and neither was my pink feathered boa! 🦚
This evening, after the show, I strolled down the seaside with the evening breeze in my hair. The night sky shimmered with a thousand stars, and the waves were lapping gently against the shore. This moment was so full of serenity. I thought about my journey and the way this pink tutu passion of mine has brought me to this lovely place. It's not just about the sparkly costumes or the elaborate routines – it's about connection. It's about making people smile and making them believe they can do anything they set their minds to. Like me, maybe? Perhaps, like me, you have a dream to fulfill. Perhaps it’s to stand on stage and sing your heart out. Maybe it's to start your own pink tutu business!
