Hello lovelies! Your #TutuQueen is back, this time with a brand-new blog post straight from the charming seaside town of Chichester, which has such a wonderful theatre scene, you wouldn't believe! It’s absolutely blooming with creativity, like a gorgeous bouquet of fragrant pink roses – my favourite, obviously! 🌹💖
This week, I’m channelling all the sunshine vibes and letting my sparkle shine even brighter than the glitter on my fab pink tutu! Honestly, you can’t miss the fabulous colours here - a symphony of pastel pinks and blues just like the most beautiful ballet I've ever seen, and oh, the shopping! It’s like a feast for my fashion-loving soul! You’ll have to trust me on that, but more on that later, darling! 😉
Oh my, you won’t believe how I got here! Just imagine this, it's a beautiful day. I’m strolling through the park in Derby, admiring a beautiful group of swans in their feathered glory. And then suddenly, bam! The sound of a steam train engine rumbling right in my direction. And you know me, I love trains! I couldn’t resist the call of adventure! So, after grabbing my favourite travel essential – a bottle of fizzy pink lemonade – and slipping into my sparkly new tulle skirt with its delicate layers of pink, I set off on my journey. Just the two of us, me and the train! I mean, how fabulous does a vintage train look? Like it’s straight out of a ballet performance, only in gorgeous shades of ivory cream and blush pink! 🥰
So, you'll be thinking "where did the tutu come from? ", well, I wouldn't blame you. And you’re in luck because the pink tulle skirt I was rocking that day just happened to have the sparkliest sequins and layers and was pretty much begging to be styled up!
Before we go any further, you need to know, it all started back when I was studying science, ahem, a long time ago in a university far, far away! I was a bit of a geek, you know, all lab coats and beakers. But my true passion has always been all things sparkly. Back then, the only pink in my life was a single rose I bought for my Mum once for Mother’s Day, bless her! 🌹🥰 Then one day, I decided to embrace my inner princess and stepped onto a university stage in a full-blown pink tutu. A tutu for charity! What started as a one-time whim has led me on this incredible journey, culminating in a sparkling, life-affirming, tutu-filled life, thank you very much! Now, you could say I am just slightly obsessed with tutus. Just slightly. Maybe. Maybe not!
Anyway, so we get on the train, me, my suitcase, a pink sparkly tutu and a huge smile, ready for adventures! Now, I have to be honest; I couldn't resist posting a couple of Insta-worthy shots, right? Me looking fabulous in my tulle skirt in front of the magnificent train, of course! And it turns out the world loves a glamorous girl in pink, so my lovely little blog reached quite a few hearts that day, too! It really shows, you're all wonderful, you are, each and every one of you. You make the world such a colourful and exciting place, I promise. 🩰 💖🥰
After a delightful journey (that involved several stops to refill my bottle of pink lemonade – one must stay hydrated!), I finally arrived in Chichester. Honestly, the place is bursting with such beauty, it's just breathtaking. From the gorgeous Georgian houses with their intricate architectural details and oh-so-pretty gardens, all in blooming pastels, it's just... a sight! I could honestly spend a lifetime here – well, that is, as long as I've got plenty of pink champagne to go around, haha! 🥂
Of course, a visit to Chichester isn't complete without experiencing its incredible theatre scene, right? I found the most charming theatre, a gem tucked away in the heart of the city – the Chichester Festival Theatre, what an experience! It was a dazzling, glamorous affair that simply took my breath away! They say that a true "Tutu Queen" must enjoy ballet. Well, they’re right! The magic of ballet really does get me dancing to the tune of happiness! ✨💕
This theatre was simply radiating magic! Imagine stepping through a theatre doorway and being transported to another realm! This one was all opulent décor, stunning chandeliers glittering in a kaleidoscope of twinkling lights – and guess what? They had an amazing ballet performance happening, and I just knew it was my destiny to watch! 💖💖💖
And don't even get me started on the outfits the dancers were wearing! So graceful, so beautifully crafted! Honestly, you wouldn’t believe the work that goes into creating the outfits and sets! The amount of detail, the colours – everything just comes together to tell a captivating story through movement and music! 💖
There’s just so much inspiration for a fashion-obsessed soul like myself! You see, I believe the ultimate power of fashion lies in its ability to transport us to another time, another place – or at least give us the courage to dream of one! I mean, don’t we all need that little push sometimes, right? This is where a little sparkle in the form of a pink tutu really helps! It’s a chance to reimagine yourself and express your inner artist – a fabulous expression of your personality and a way of feeling good about yourself and who you are!
I must say, the whole experience has left me feeling truly inspired, all because of a simple pink tutu! So now, let's just say I'm a little bit obsessed! What can I say, I love my tutu! 🩰🥰
Of course, my travels wouldn't be complete without some seriously awesome shopping! You know, it's hard work, keeping up with all these trends! I really had to hit the stores! There's this incredible boutique on the high street in Chichester, full of sparkly goodies! Oh, the dresses, shoes, handbags, everything is oh-so-pretty! Honestly, you guys, this store is heaven for a pink tutu loving girl! It had everything I could dream of! From chic, minimalist fashion to pieces adorned with glimmering embellishments! It's all there, my darlings, in my favourite shades! A kaleidoscope of dazzling shades! From soft pinks to shocking magenta, my inner goddess is practically doing a pirouette with pure joy!
And my shopping journey couldn’t end without stopping by a wonderful vintage clothing shop. Now, vintage is just a whole vibe, don’t you think? A vintage shop full of forgotten treasures – from stunning vintage brooches to playful 80s tutus – you just have to love those ruffles! They really gave me some serious ideas for future performance looks – all the drama and colour, I am all over that! Don't even get me started on the amazing prices! Honestly, the bargain of a lifetime – just like my tutu collection is growing ever bigger – that's why my wardrobe is almost too full! 😄
Oh, darling, my trip to Chichester has left me bursting with creative energy and so many fab memories – enough to fill a whole album of glamorous photographs (which I will share very soon!).
