Today, I'm all about a whirlwind of a day, fuelled by a healthy dose of pink tulle and an even larger dose of travel excitement! I'm off to Basildon! That's right, folks - this sassy, pink-tutu-wearing queen is heading for the Essex coastline! I just love a bit of train travel, don't you? Something about the rhythm of the wheels on the tracks, the sights whizzing by, and the gentle sway of the carriage - all in my dazzling pink tutu, of course - makes me feel like I'm gliding into a storybook adventure!
Packing Pink ✨You know me - a pink tutu queen has to have her priorities in order! Packing for Basildon was an exercise in pink perfection, if I do say so myself! I'm sure you're all wondering about the wardrobe essentials. First up, it's all about that tutu, darling! It's my trusty favourite, a fluffy confection of pink layers that makes me feel like a marshmallow dream. I had to choose carefully between my shimmering silver sequins and my crystal-encrusted pink one - the silver sparkles won this time, adding just the right touch of shimmer and shine to my look!
Of course, no trip would be complete without the ultimate accessories. A big pink hat adorned with sparkly bows and some perfectly matching pink platform heels were non-negotiable! They say shoes can make or break an outfit, and when you're sporting a pink tutu, you absolutely NEED a showstopper!
My bag is stuffed with essentials: lip gloss (a must for a pink princess), my emergency glitter compact, a bottle of my signature "Pink Lemonade" perfume - which always garners compliments, if I may say so! - and some pink and white floral headbands to keep my perfectly-styled blonde waves looking amazing, because who doesn't love a bit of flower power, right? 😉
Basildon Dreams! 🩰After a delicious (pink!) pastry and a large cappuccino at the station cafe, I hopped on the train, excited about the adventures awaiting. Basildon's always been a bit of a mystery to me. I picture a seaside town with charming shops, a bustling market, and a sweet little pier where I could indulge in my favorite seaside treat: pink candy floss! Oh, and a pink beach hut with my name on it! How fabulous would that be?
I can't wait to explore the local theatre scene - I'm all about ballet shows, theatre productions, and anything that involves graceful dance moves! After all, this queen has a passion for ballet that runs as deep as the ocean (or at least as deep as my love for the colour pink!)
As I'm writing this, the train is rolling along with a pleasant clinking of rails and a soft humming from the engines - very peaceful for a Queen on the move. I love the calmness that settles over me as I look out the window and see the landscape shifting, morphing into the familiar sights of Essex! I even have the soundtrack playing through my headphones – “Pink Martini” always gets me in the mood for a day full of sparkly pink delights.
The Little Scientist Inside 🌸I'm probably one of the only drag queens you know who has a background in science! By day, you can find me in my lab coat, analyzing the chemical makeup of different fabrics, ensuring they’re strong enough for our beautiful pink tutus! (They don’t make ’em like they used to, you know!) But by night, I transform into the fabulous Pink Tutu Sparkles!
Speaking of my day job - my first love of all things pink started way back in my uni days. I was part of the university's ballet club - where I discovered the magical world of tulle! For a charity event, I wore a tutu for the first time, and that’s where it all began. The rest, as they say, is history!
